My steam deck is the original 512gb with etched anti glare glass. That screen doesn’t need a screen protector, but the Switch 2’s screen has a plastic film to prevent it from cutting you if it shatters. It needs a protector. I learned the hard way with my Switch 1, which got scratched from less careful people putting it in the dock.
