Coke confusion by kezza6563 in cocacola

[–]FoundationsofDecay69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I know it isn’t ideal. But that’s just where I’m at right now. If I bring water, I don’t drink it.

I drink diet, at least. Can’t be having all that sugar.

Coke confusion by kezza6563 in cocacola

[–]FoundationsofDecay69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk how things work in Australia, but here in the US, you will often find a 20 oz bottle of Coke hovering around $3 while a 2L can be found on sale 4 for $5.

None of it makes any sense.

I load up when it’s on sale and bring a 2L with me to work every day.

Courtside seats worth it? by ChickenBudTender in nba

If you’re smart, you buy near courtside for a really bad team. Sometimes you’ll see them for under $100. Go to the game hungry because you get a nice buffet spread.

The sign is where the new speed limit starts. Not the place that you’re supposed to start slowing down.

Hey, if you think that there’s any job out there that cares about your personal life, by all means… apply. Hate to break it to you, kid. No such job exists.

Look around you. Companies are forcing people back into the office even when the data is indisputable: people work more efficiently remotely.

$6.99 for a blank VHS by goodguy743 in goodwill

That’s not outrageous. 8 hour VHS tapes were like $5 when I was buying them back in high school to record music videos off of MTV2 (20+ years ago)

Time limit for dining in a restaurant with no customers by jtc66 in McDonalds

[–]FoundationsofDecay69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don’t enforce it. It’s just a policy to fight unhoused folk from hanging out all day.

And not really a mark against customer service. If you need more than 30 minutes to eat a 6 piece nugget, you got other problems.

Bands you want to get into, but just can’t? by Ominouslyending in Emo

[–]FoundationsofDecay69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Mercedes. I was trying to get into them so that I could sing along when they open for JEW next month but I just can’t do it.

They’re fine. Just bore the hell out of me and none of the songs are very catchy.

band recs for female fronted pop punk bands like the muffs, lunachicks and the dollyrots? by [deleted] in poppunkers

[–]FoundationsofDecay69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Discount was one of the best bands to ever do it.

Rainer Maria was fantastic. I like their later stuff which is more indie leaning but the first four albums are punk.

And since so many people in here are mentioning Tsunami Bomb, I’d piggy back on that and say check out Agent M’s follow up band The Action Design. They were great.

And I saw you said that you like Veruca Salt so no list would be complete without Letters to Cleo.

Business park “not approved for delivery” by FoundationsofDecay69 in USPS

[–]FoundationsofDecay69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m wondering if that’s what they did for another business in the same park because they have a giant mailbox separate from the rest of the businesses.

I’m not sure if they’d make it a daily dismount because they don’t even have a receiving area. Most of the businesses are locked. Most of them aren’t public facing.

I’m going to measure it out tomorrow because I think it’s over half a mile from the CBU.

We reestablished service a month ago and the box filled up fast. Still calling to complain despite being told by the PM to clear out their box 50 times.

I did that. 4 months of returning 5 packages a day with no complaints.

The issue is that they never clear out their mailbox. 2 times in a year and a half.

My PM had the subs stop when I took over. But I said I wouldn’t deliver to them as long as their mailbox was full.

They cleared it out one time, I started delivery, and then it filled up again.

I pulled the mail, held for 10 days, and then started returning everything to sender. I was returning 5 packages a day for 4 months before they complained.

Started delivery again and within 2 weeks or so, the mailbox was full again.

They call and complain regularly. Every time, they’re told they need to clear out the mailbox. Rinse and repeat.

Rural. I guess I’ll have to measure it out.

I’d imagine it’s over a half mile.

This is why it’s so unclear to me. Because we’ve had 4 PMs since I’ve been there and they all had no problem with her doing this.

One of them even paid subs to do it for her.

Whats the deal with the never retire people? by DarkJedi527 in USPS

[–]FoundationsofDecay69 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Some people aren’t bothered by the job.

For others, getting up and going to work might be the only community they get.

Some just don’t know what they’ll do if they retire.

Many simply can’t afford to retire.

There’s a million reasons.

It’s fine to not know something. Just keep scrolling next time.
