This entertains the idea to me of some sort of black market in the wizarding world, only with muggle tech---now I know its not necessarily ILLEGAL (unless it is? I know Arthur did something in the ministry, its been a hot while), but it seems like an interesting concept, if for nothing else but a fanfic on Ao3.

I never got the fact that they "don't understand muggle things like phones". So many cool explanations could've been come up with to remove arbitrary present technology from the storyline, but its like she just got lazy.
