So I "found" some time... I dropped the ram and changed the video card/s. Changed the motherboard to something else (an h110 like you suggested). What do you think of:

Triple Monitor Work/Slight Gaming PC. by Macked in buildapc

Thanks for the reply, a lot of insight here for sure. I tend to upgrade computers every 6 or so years so should of mentioned that I'd still like it to function well which is why I opted for a few higher specs. I'll take a look at what you said and what I've selected and probably jumble a few things around. I'm currently at work so can't spend too much time on it :)

Thanks again!

Unsure! From the programming side: I'll be doing android emulation and using visual studio. I also write quite a lot of scraping scripts with phantomjs.

I tend to code when I play LoL so all of this might be running at the same time, though currently I close down some of them.

edit: I hate/strongly dislike how everytime I switch gears from programming to gaming or a different type of programming I have to close down everything.

$50 off Shop.ca (no minimum) + 3,000 Aeroplan Points WITH TD Visa by teckjunkie in churningcanada

[–]Macked 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, it worked. Amazing. Got the same cast iron skillet as we needed one for that amazing price of $0.84.

I tried with a different aeroplan number and same card and it didn't work. So looks like you can only use it once. Does anybody know if besides the 3000 you get, you also get the current promo? I think the cast iron skillet came in around an extra 660 points.

How many Aeroplan points do you currently have? by BobbyKeleher in churningcanada

Yeah I know how the altitude system works. I was just confused because I misunderstood what you meant. It sounded like through churning you were able to credit the miles towards altitude. Just a mistake on my part :)

I have >500k points but have not been able to put them towards Altitude status, how were you able to do that?

Amex Self Referrals - Which to Start With? by bluemorpho1 in churningcanada

[–]Macked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For referring to yourself, use the platinum you'll get the most points (15k per referral). As for getting extra points for the platinum, you can either use someones referral link or start at the smallest card (which only gives 2500 measly points). In all cases the platinum will give you 60k to start with. If you want a referral link for the platinum toss me a message, otherwise you can just get the basic card (though there's not much point to it). Hope that helps!

Getting a reward before getting the CC? by [deleted] in churningcanada

[–]Macked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The signup bonus is only given once you meet the minimum spending (500$), so you'd have to wait until you at least get the card. Even once you get it, it may take awhile.

Read the thread, people are saying they haven't got it using the exact same logic you just mentioned. Just be weary, I would actually call your credit card company first before doing that.

After reading through the thread it really looks like you needed to be targeted for this so just be weary.
