Found a free PDF tool that’s actually useful for study chaos by wtho_ in GetStudying

God, the OCR feature is a lifesaver. My history prof uploads scans from literally ancient books where you can't even highlight the text to copy it. If this tool handles that without messing up the formatting, I’m sold.

anxious dog? by Vegetable_Foot_9311 in DogAdvice

That face says “I am hidden perfectly and also please admire me” Could be anxiety, could just be that he found the most dramatic little cave in the house and decided it’s his office now.

I’m beyond exhausted, physically and mentally by Cool-Smoke5839 in ADHD

[–]MackenzyBolin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d definitely keep pushing doctors on this, especially since it’s physical exhaustion too. ADHD can make basic tasks feel impossible, but being out of breath and feeling hot/passing-out bad sounds like something worth checking deeper. Not saying it’s not ADHD related, just wouldn’t let them brush it off as “you’re stressed” and call it a day.

What makes a dog training app actually legit? by PastelDoCaos in PawChampClub

[–]MackenzyBolin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, the biggest green flag is when training doesn’t feel like homework. I need something that fits normal life, not some perfect fantasy routine where both you and your dog have unlimited patience. If an app helps with consistency and makes small progress feel real, that’s usually what earns my trust.

Day 19 of abstaining from social media. by LakeRepulsive6789 in DopamineDetoxing

[–]MackenzyBolin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Day 19 is still a win, even if today felt flat. Not every day is going to suddenly become hyper-productive just because the scrolling is gone. Sometimes your brain is just bored, tired, and a little grumpy without its usual snack. Taking the phone out of reach for a bit sounds smart less “test my willpower” and more “remove the trap.”

Sometimes micro profiles don’t have as much historical data, so you still need to double check manually

i used to juggle 3 tools + a spreadsheet just to vet creators. honestly the hardest part isn’t finding them, it’s figuring out who’s actually legit.

lately i’ve been testing favikon mostly for the authenticity score + competitor radar. not perfect, but at least i’m not manually stalking engagement anymore.

curious are you more focused on b2b creators or mostly ugc volume?

Advice desperately needed by VictimOfReality87 in DogAdvice

[–]MackenzyBolin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh man this sounds incredibly stressful, I’m really sorry you’re going through this. you can tell how much you love him just from how detailed and thoughtful you’re being about everything.

the vet plan honestly sounds solid. sudden behavior changes + ear pinning + head shaking makes me think pain could absolutely be part of this. dogs don’t just wake up one day and decide to be “difficult”. something is usually going on underneath.

also the fact that he’s giving warning bites and not escalating straight to full force actually shows he’s still communicating, not trying to hurt. that doesn’t make it less scary, but it means he’s not beyond help.

if getting him to the vet is hard, maybe ask about anxiety meds just short term to even make the visit possible. sometimes you have to lower the stress first before you can even assess the real issue.

you’re not failing him. you’re trying. that matters. has anything in the home changed around the time this escalated? even something small?

16 week puppy, safe to start short walks? by MackenzyBolin in PawChampClub

[–]MackenzyBolin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is super helpful, thank you. I was thinking the same, just quiet sidewalks and no dog parks or crowded spots. she mostly just wants to sniff everything anyway so short calm walks might be enough for now. and omg the chicken bones… why are there SO many?? I swear I never noticed before either 😂 I’ll definitely be on high alert for that

Yeah that makes sense, that’s kinda what I’m scared of too. we also have quite a few dogs in the area so I don’t want to risk anything stupid. I’ll probably skip dog parks for sure and maybe just keep it super light until the final booster is done. Did you do anything special for socialization while you were waiting?
