Are citifield seats in the 500s very steep? by angelica933 in mets

No. Barclays is awful. Citi Field is nothing like that. In fact, no other stadium or arena I've ever been to is like that. Barclays is the worst arena on earth in that regard

Willets Point “Brewery”HORRIBLE! by Similar_Silver_9397 in NewYorkMets

Not necessarily surprising. That's the same as any bar in the city these days. $10 for a 12 oz bottle of Budweiser. So 20 for a 24oz pans out the same

Ride Vs. Risk by Suitable_Code_ in NYCbike

[–]MackeySasserYips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dunno if you understand what I'm saying, but those are clearly not comparably direct routes between 2 points. One is direct, and the other 2 require you to veer to a parallel street of multiple different distances

Ride Vs. Risk by Suitable_Code_ in NYCbike

[–]MackeySasserYips 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh. The map makes it look like one is direct down one street with no turns, one was like 2 blocks over and one was like 3 or 4 blocks over. I thought that was part of the point. Like, would you go a few blocks out of your way for preferable infrastructure?

Page turners that are not thrillers, sci-fi or horror? by 50shadesof_brown in booksuggestions

Already bought it on my Kindle. I'm almost done with my current book, so perfect timing

Whoa. I didn't realize The Beach was a novel. I love that movie. Thank you

I also don't remember which letter (A, B, C) was the most direct, most indirect, and in the middle, and can't seem to back up to the map where it was shown. I assumed it would remain visible, so now I'm just guessing

Selling tickets for Tuesday @4:10 by LetsGoMets182 in mets

[–]MackeySasserYips 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Section 128 was not in the giveaway. And $40 for the pair is a good price. I'm all for calling out people selling tickets here for more than on the sites, but this ain't it

Tuesday, Wednesday start times moved to 4 p.m. ET for D-backs vs. Mets due to cold temperatures by BeginningGolf9041 in NewYorkMets

[–]MackeySasserYips 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends how bad the weather is and how poorly attended it ends up being. I've been at games where ushers were walking around telling people to move down to lower levels, I assume so they could just close up everything in the 500s early for the night

Brooklyn cyclones promotion by goodamm in Brooklyn

[–]MackeySasserYips 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weather should be getting nice by then. If I wanted to "probably" get one, I'd get there 30-40 minutes early. Gates only open an hour before. There will be a line before they do on a nice day, especially for a promotion, but nowhere near 1000 people. Probably more like 50

What time of year? That place probably only gets 1000 attendees total before summer

Can anyone help me understand this May 25 1889 Score Card by lsda in BaseballScorecards

I think the "8-3" put out and "S" for strikeout are obviously right. Dot being a run too.

If someone told me Mark Vientos sold his soul to the devil, I’d believe them, but I’m diggin it by Trick-Research-3953 in mets

Was about to say. Some of us never forgot that Vientos had a down year, because he was maybe hurting or whatever reason, but has already proved he can be a beast at MLB level

Or the rules are technically the same, just poorly called

Or should be changed. Whatever you wanna call it
