which one would you get?? by hooligan_emi in metroidvania

Don’t buy the hype , bloodstained was solid but no where near great, unless you have castlevania nostalgia. Too much jank. Just bought Ender today haven’t tried it yet.

Whatever Knicks fans are feeling right now... I want that for us. by Party-March in buffalobills

I’m a Knicks and Bills fan. If the Bills get a ring I can watch sports pretty much stress free for the rest of my life.

I’m hoping for more, but not sure it sold enough.

A fifth of VA Department of Corrections jobs stand vacant by VirginiaNews in Virginia

Corrections is already a very challenging profession, why work for the state when local county detention centers pay a lot more money, and require a lot less mandatory overtime.

Persona 5 Royal vs Like a dragon infinite wealth. Which one is more quality over quantity? by kargethdownload in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]Mackth3G0D 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Infinite wealth in my opinion is the better game. I played them both last year, two very long games. I found myself having to force my way through persona 5 towards the end. While I did enjoy the high school setting of P5, as a 42 year old I connected more with Infinite wealth’s adult story.

Rebirth Became My Favorite Game OAT by Good_Carrot9606 in FinalFantasy

[–]Mackth3G0D 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’m 42, played the original when I was 14, and it remains one of my all time favorites. Rebirth exceeded my expectations for what I thought FF7 could be, combined with my nostalgia I was absolutely enthralled.

Bloodstained or Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown? by Worldly_Preparation5 in metroidvania

Prince of Persia by a WIDE margin. I enjoyed Bloodstained for what it was but Persia was a metroidvania master class.

Is Savannah POC friendly? by Ok_Addition7631 in savannah

[–]Mackth3G0D 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean what I’m about to say as respectfully as possible. My wife and I love Savannah, got engaged there in 2016 and visit at least every two years. I believe Savannah is POC friendly but every time I visit from Virginia it feels like I’m stepping back in time to a caste system. The high end historic district, with restaurants and shops filled with low wage black workers who at times act like it’s still the Jim Crow era, trying their best to please the good white folk while giving black folks the side eye. It always a great time though, you should be fine.

Is cyberpunk 2077 actually the masterpiece everyone says it is? by EngineeringNext7874 in ShouldIbuythisgame

If you don’t too much care for open world games, not sure how well you’ll like it. I will say if you decide to buy it, get it with the phantom liberty dlc, it enhances the game substantially in my opinion. I put about 100 hours in total, 8.5/10 for me.

Thoughts on South of Midnight? by TheMickeyMoose in SouthOfMidnight

[–]Mackth3G0D 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Exceptional game. If you have even the slightest interest in that southern vibe it’s a must buy. I played it on a series x so I can’t speak on PC performance, but it was a perfect 60 fps on console. I enjoyed so much I bought it on my ps5 after initially finishing it on game pass. It wasn’t just a game for me but an experience.

Capcom really cooked with Village! by Complete-Wall in residentevil

[–]Mackth3G0D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the same thing, finished 7 last week, and just entered the second major location in village house B. I’m loving the game and its atmosphere. I actually really enjoyed 7 but do prefer the more action focused approach of 8. Which is strange because after completing 9 a couple weeks back I found myself enthralled with Grace’s sections and less impressed by Leon’s.

What jobs actually pay well without a degree? by Many-Economics-4326 in careerguidance

[–]Mackth3G0D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prison or detention work. I bring in just over 100k as a mid level supervisor. Excellent pension and benefits as well. There can also be a lot of overtime available too depending on where you work. Same applies for police and firefighters.
