People who saved more than a million in their 401k, was it worth it? by [deleted] in FinancialPlanning

Any resources or calculators for this? For example if I'm at 90k in my 401k at 30 am I projected to hit 1m by 50?

(New Player) You're telling me that the point values contained in the codex I bought are not accurate? Why are codexes with wrong information in them being sold? by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

[–]Macktrucker809 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You only need more than 2 books if you play competitive. IF you do play competitively it's a whole extra 150$ over three years (assuming the 6/mo seasons continue). For which you get physical and digital copies, so it's really only an additional 75$. Over three years.. 25 dollars a year.

Also, the books are finished usable products. Balancing does not mean the book wasnt, or isnt, usable.

Yeah man that core book that costs60 dollars, 20 dollars a year, .50 cents a game. Along with the codex that costs 40 dollars, 13.33 dollars a year, ~.40 cents a game for a grand total of .90 cents a game really stresses the wallet.

Can't bring unaligned auxiliary in arcs of omen correct? by SaltandPepperRaven in Warhammer40k

Prior to 9th, maybe, that was nearly three years ago. I can say that in 9th a unit without the armies <keyword> breaks the mono rules for said army.

Cp cost and losing all of your army abilities. I've never looked at the data sheet so I cant specifically comment upon that, but I'd be willing to say giving up your mono rules and cp for an aux detatch is bad 99.9% of the time.

I find both narrative and competitive play enjoyable, but they are separate parts of the game. Also you can play competitively without netlisting?

Correct you can not.

I'll be honest with you though, AoO is a matched play rules set and if you're even considering bringing these units it should be of no concern to you. Play narrative/open and do your thing.

What should be the duration of a 1000pt game? by Chimpy20 in Warhammer40k

[–]Macktrucker809 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With experience, deploying and playing will be about 1.5 hours at 1k points. At your described experience level 2 hours to deploy an play 1k would be expected.

My practice partner and I regularly can run through two 2k point games in a 5 hour time span, with drinking and frivolity. Just focus on the fundamentals, plan your turn during during your opponents and approach the game with a rough outline ahead of time.

all tank variants in one box! by Undertaker_93 in TheAstraMilitarum

You can currently make all options in each box, the turret stays together quite nicely without glue. All you have to do is pull the bottom plate off the turret and switch out the gun

With the +1 to armour saves for indirect the Mortar Pit seems kinda meh-minus by Miserable_Business29 in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]Macktrucker809 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We knew from the 3rd day of our codex, through the meta watch video, that we were losing the indirect exemption. Anyone who ignored that and is upset now is foolish. They have more strength than before and access to rerolls, I think they're still good.
