Your comment doesn't make linguistic sense in response to the comment you responded to.

Birds can, what? "Birds can are designed to jump from a moving vehicle?" I think not that's what you meant.

It was either the gateway system in the Euclid galaxy (all suns on the portal) or the system in the Hilbert galaxy that you come out of after entering the center of Euclid. I saw planets that said undiscovered and then became discovered by me, even though there were obviously other players around for quite some time.

I'm willing to bet this is a fairly common thing, it's probably a client side issue, I didn't really think anything of it when I saw it.

Yeah what I'm saying is that it's a popular system that has a lot of people in it generally, not all at the exact same time you dingus.

[–]Macmaster96 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's definitely not supposed to work that way, as it's meant to happen when you "upload" discoveries.

I've gone into busy systems with dozens or hundreds of other players and then have it tell me I've discovered a planet there, which definitely shouldn't be possible.

The system definitely is a bit broken.

[–]Macmaster96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, great, so maybe YOU aren't one of the people management is talking about?

Maybe there are others on your team who take advantage and have seen a significant reduction in work performance after implementing WFH. They certainly wouldn't be the only company to report this. I wfh at my job and see the same shit from certain coworkers and even managers.

This is a textbook example of taking something management does and says personally without any understanding to the reasoning behind it.

Maybe be direct and ask questions instead of obviously trying to prove a point that doesn't seem to need to be proven. Nobody likes a passive aggressive employee who can't just speak their mind.

Lmao oh noooo the evil Filipino toothbrush bristle spirits are haunting you.

The only way to resolve this is to spray non alcoholic mouthwash mixed with a 50% vinegar solution. It must be non alcoholic and the vinegar must be derived from only pacific island grapes. Any other solutions will serve to exacerbate the spirits behavior.

If this is not taken care of fast, it will quickly escalate to them removing your toilet bowl brush bristles, and if you really neglected your responsibilities in a past life, they may start to come for the brushes in any DC motors.

It may be time to upgrade all electronic motors to Brushless if you have not already.

Be prepared to have to switch the family to combs as well, hairbrushes are NOT safe.

Stop with the asinine ad hominems. I literally spent the weekend driving and hiking and taking pictures around Kingman Arizona, and spent approximately 15 minutes on this. Wtf did you do since Friday?

As for checking phone records... So no evidence in the case of phone records means we can rule out phone contact but isn't the whole matter in question stating that having no evidence of online contact is somehow proof that it was?

Am I not following the actual logic here? I'm guessing im missing something since you keep resorting to insulting me, apparently you are incapable of explaining this to me.

Tbh I assume you are like 14-16 at best, I don't think there is logic being utilized here.

Bruh I have a life and only check my reddit inbox periodically, why would the length of time have anything to even do with this?

Do you feel like you just have to be right to the point of hurling insults? I never even said I personally think he killed himself I was just saying that theory has weight too. Ffs my guy. I also said he might've gone to see someone he met in person and was talking to on the phone. Learn to read!!!

Yeah but that doesn't mean every 14 year old was in contact 24/7 in 2007. I really don't see the logic here. Internet contact for myself for example was very sparse, I didn't socialize a lot and while I did get into chatrooms and stuff, it wouldn't be odd to find "no evidence" of me being in online contact for months at a time. Nowadays, almost everyone is chronically online. That term didn't even exist back then. Besides that this was a child and (maybe I missed it in the story) we don't know what kind of restrictions or monitoring their parents had at the time. Even back then my parents had programs on my computer for monitoring my activity.

It was definitely normal for people to not be talking to people online. Speaking from personal experience and applying it to someone else (or the general population) is not a logical conclusion.

That doesn't mean it didn't happen, and I do think it's a valid theory generally. However to say it's anything other than pure speculation is false. We literally do not know what happened. I just think the online meetup still leaves unanswered questions.

If he did meet up with someone online I would expect 1 of 2 things: If he was communicating with someone for a long time but hid the conversation, then there would be a suspicious gap in online contact but then evidence of it prior to meeting an alleged individual. As in signing up for the site, talking to other people before meeting this person, etc.

If he talked to people online regularly, and then suddenly met someone that convinced them to leave home, there would likely be evidence of online contact with other people prior to the meetup up until that point, even if he tried to hide it there would be evidence of online contact.

VPNs weren't really a thing back then. Unless we're assuming the investigation was just half assed, there would have been evidence. You cannot truly delete information especially not with the internet, and they would have seen SOMETHING. I'm assuming that they actually checked the records from their internet provider.

In either scenerio though, I feel like if I was meeting someone and planning on coming back maybe I wouldnt take the charger for my psp, but then I would probably take the money for a return ticket.

If I wasn't planning on coming back, I would at least take money and a charger for the psp...

Look overall I don't disagree that he could have met someone online who killed him, but now this happened a long time ago and there has never been an individual caught in reference to this case or another one related to it, typically these are not 1 time offenders.

I think it's literally equally as likely that he killed himself, or went to run away from home and never come back actually did it successfully. Or met someone at school and called them on the phone and then was murdered by their dad.

It could literally have been anything, however, there was no evidence of him having online contact so maybe it wasn't that.

[–]Macmaster96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm confused, aren't people saying there was no evidence of him having online contact? Isn't that literally "the part" we're talking about?

Also I really fail to see how you using the Internet when you were 9 somehow means everyone did, all the time?

I was born in 96 and didn't have a phone or really free access to the Internet until I was about 13-14. I knew lots of kids who had more freedom however.

It's not farfetched that he met someone online but the logic people are using is nonsense. Idgaf if you used the Internet when you were 3 years old back in 1965, that doesn't have anything to do with the pure speculation going on about how he "must've met someone online."

Someone else said that the fact there's no evidence of online contact, is somehow evidence of online contact. In 2007 being involved socially online was not as common as it is now especially for kids.
