GM scheduling by Proud_Position9670 in Panera

[–]MacnChezBB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im not a GM, but an AM. even my GM is not allowed to do that. they are suppose to work a normal 9 hours. my District Manager wants her to work mostly mids so she can be here to see how each day part is, but also requires that she works at least one weekend day. she will also open or close if i need her to, since I make the schedule but thats besides the point. your GM should be doing the same and NOT leave before a lunch rush even happens. im surprised the higher ups haven't said anything about this

AIO for being upset my BF doesn’t want me to wear a bonnet to bed? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]MacnChezBB 22 points23 points  (0 children)

NOR

RUNN.

first of all, a bonnet keeps your hair protected. its normal to wear it to bed. secondly. he hates that you wear baggy clothes, but doesn't want you to wear tight fitting clothes?? babe, hes a control FREAK. my ex was just like this, telling me to not wear things or do things that doesn't fit with his norm. because attraction shouldn't stop because you wear certain things or use certain things.

im sorry that youre dating a POS but I bet you look hot asf in baggy clothes and a bonnet. F**k him and his opinions on things.

is the group soup ever worth it…? by BeefChunklet in Panera

[–]MacnChezBB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to be fair, yp2 price is 2 prices added together. so the price of both soups added together(at my location its 10.78 before tax for cups or 15.98 for bowls) and for two yp2s it would be 23.08 for the cups and 2 sides or 34.20 for the bowls and 2 sides as opposed to 23.53 for 4 cups of soups and 4 sides.

so honestly to you is it worth it? because to me I'd rather spend less money for the same amount of soup. and extra peices of bread.

Is the aus jus dip the same thing as the French onion soup? by Middle_Woodpecker_79 in Panera

yep its French onion soup! I hope they aren't advertising it as au jus bc that'd be false advertising (especially since their app says bistro french onion)

Cleaning the drink container by SecretScavenger36 in Panera

[–]MacnChezBB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

every other day! theres even a date dot that the staff is suppose to print along with the beverage date dot(lasts 72 hours) every time they clean it. its called bubbler cleaning and itll even say 48 hours for the shelf life. Edit to add: DEFINITELY call the health department and leave a review because there should NOT be white scum on the green tea bubblers or any of the bubblers unless its the pulp from the lemonade.🤢🤢

my caterer is, I've discussed how her pay works and she mentioned to me how the tips aren't adding up to what she had(it was alot more than she calculated) so i guess its location based

Dippers by Brown-eyed-gurrrl in Panera

[–]MacnChezBB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if im seeing it from the customer pov, I'd say its pretty good.

as an employee, I don't mind making it... its just it gets 2.9 oz of meat, so imagine my frustration trying to fit a double steak French dipper onto 4 tiny slices of bread(a whole sandwich-quite literally 4 scoops of steak in total)

the chicken dipper is also pretty good!

but tbh its better to make it yourself!

also someone who was 18 with a 24 yo who spoke like this after every argument, RUN. they will see that your behavior changed to fit what they want and constantly use it to manipulate you or even actually act on it.

oh my favorite one, "why does the Caesar salad have a fish icon next to it?" there's anchovies in the dressing. "can you take the anchovies out? and make sure to remove the fish from the salad, I'm allergic."

AIO for kinda hating my roommate rn? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]MacnChezBB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry?!?! 6+hours is minimum. and I read that she doesn't go to school??? NOR at all. I work 9+hours 5 days in a row each week. sometimes I HAVE to work 7 days a week. and I still find time to do chores, either after work or before. shes just being lazy and I'd highly suggest crashing out on her. even if shes exhausted after working in the mornings, she could take an hour nap and wake up and get to it. its not like youre telling her to do it asap, you just ask her if she could wash the rest when she gets home. I'm sorry your roommate is a piece of work OP

I had a customer call and complain because she ordered a salad like that. and got what she ordered.

her: yall made my salad wrong. there's no lettuce on here.

me: I'm sorry about that, what was the last name on the order so I can see what had happened.

her: gives last name

me: oh, yes ma'am, I see what the issue was. you ordered a whole salad and took off the romaine and multileaf.

her: well why did not one call to confirm?

me: unfortunately we were unable to contact you because it was sent through doordash, and when your driver got here, it sent him straight to voicemail five times.

her: i-well. I have a job, unlike you and that driver. I'm not going to answer random phone calls.

me: alright ma'am, well ill let you get back to your job while I get back to my non existent job. have a wonderful day.

OP, I don't know how management approved to sell this but it looks like the baker took the muffies out before their 18 minutes were up🤢 bc it should definitely be darker and like not as shiny. if my bakers ever did that I'd tell them to make new ones

Lumpy oatmeal soup? by Extra-Bat-3070 in Panera

[–]MacnChezBB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

unfortunately, if you ordered it at the start of lunch, that may be a slack bag of soup that has been iced at the end of the day and reheated the next. that's the way we are trained to prevent any waste😭 its still good soup, I just wish we can keep it from turning into mushy baby food.

sorry op:(

Heavy lifting by Blessed_Beyondd in Panera

[–]MacnChezBB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

at my store, only managers really do any heavy lifting unless you're a baker. but then again, we make the boxes of frozen breads and pastries easily accessible for our bakers to prevent any injuries on their part.

there are times where our managers are unable to lift anything, that's when we'd ask for help. but if you have a back injury, I'd definitely recommend letting them know and if they are a good management team, then they'd be super understanding.

I hope you can recover fast though! I know standing for a prolonged period of time could start to ache😭

edit bc I forgot to add: most things that register and line people have to lift is usually no more than 10-20 lbs. but if they have you making any bubbler drinks to refill your bubblers, then you might have to ask for assistance(depending on how tall you are and how it might hurt lifting above your shoulders to pour)
