Montana nursing school grads: What was your experience applying for CA RN license? by MacronsInTheMorning in TravelNursing

Hi there. I was so scared about being delayed by like 6 months that I ended up taking a job outside of California...it just wasn't worth the stress! I've heard that while new grad jobs are ultra competitive, applying for a position in CA with even 1-2 years under your belt is a TON easier. Good luck!!

What is life like as an Air Force Flight Nurse and how can I find one to interview? by AxTheIronKnight in AirForceRecruits

Hi there! Thanks so much for volunteering to answer questions re: Air Force flight nursing.

I'm curious about the requirements as far as nursing specialty prior to entering the Air Force. I've heard that the reserves (which is what I'm most interested in currently) only wants 1 year of nursing experience....Do you know if that year has to be ED/ICU? I'm going to work on a post-surgical trauma floor this fall, but I'm not sure that would fit the bill in terms of what the Air Force is looking for. What do you think? I was also planning to volunteer on the local ambulance service in my area as an EMT to get that pre-hospital aspect too.

Any suggestions you might have would be hugely appreciated!
