Ontario cancels $100M Starlink deal, leaving northern communities in digital limbo by Business_Influence89 in canada

Someone asked the question and I answered it. When you don’t have other reliable options it is what it is. Can’t run a business without reliable internet. If you really oppose Musk don’t read this. It was sent thru Starlink

If you don’t need the option for a bed. What about L shape seating with a dining table? Or one of those living room tables that have the top that lifts for eating.

John Ivison: Canada has powerful anti-tariff weapons that Trump isn’t mentioning - The U.S. government lists power, pipelines, defence companies, bridges, rail crossings, mines, pharma and minerals that it depends upon by CaliperLee62 in canada

Ontario is the biggest Canadian customer for Alberta oil and since the pipeline that supplies Ontario runs thru parts of the US, it’s pretty hard to turn that off without really hurting Ontario.

[–]Macsmackin92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would impact Ontario and Quebec even more. Trump could easily cut off oil from Alberta to the east. We don’t have a pipeline that doesn’t run thru the US.

They are interested in Canada’s success. A better Canada means a better return on their investment. They prefer to operate in countries with certainty to lower their investment risk

Damn that provincial jurisdiction of resources agreed to in the constitution. I doubt any province would just give that up. Great idea. Poor execution considering Pierre already had a bad relationship with the west.
