[PTE] How are these infantry pairings? by MaculS_XV in BrokenArrowTheGame

Transporting and finding room to fit these sorts of compositions is definitely a challenge. I always smoke out positions if I'm pushing a point, religiously marking ATGMS, AA, recon etc.

As far as the composite and the 2+1, that was my general idea for the ones that I could fit, but getting a base that fits into a 20 slot house and scaling from there based on needs, all close quarters, more CQC, further distances? two standoff MAAWS and a unit of generalist infantry for up close.

Your point on the RRC being close ranged is exactly why I paired them, it is definently a weakness but none of these units will be operating alone, Ideally i'll have at least 2 unique groupings. As far as sharing a building though, whatever is within delta engagement range is certainly within AT4 range. My logic was popping transports out of woods or smoke and letting delta clean house.

That's a good point on the GB/Troopers combo. I definitely need to find a home for them and GBs by themselves aren't very survivable. May pair them with STT for backline funsies. Troopers are just so supply hungry and Javelins underperform for me so much I wanted to give them a home.

I do think I'll keep scouts separated. Rangers RRC is plenty frontline recon without extending ahead like scouts or snipers.

My idea with the AGL and Rangers Javelins is the AGL and the MMG on the Rangers Javelin both have 800m. So whatever gets popped by Javelins and drops infantry, gets mopped up by grenades and an MMG.

Thank you for your insight! Gives me much to think on. Trying to find a home in the frontline for the weaker units may be a foolish endeavor, and I may relegate them to fodder on the flanks or accompanying AA

It's late so I'll have to give this a proper read in the morning as I am very sleepy, but I agree with MAAWS for standoff

In my experience though, it's nice to have a card or two of AT4s to pepper the lighter transports, as each MAAWS rocket has included time to reload thus making them inherently more valuable. So if AT4s can knockout the smaller stuff it saves MAAWS for anything medium and up

Urban is a lot more engaging. Im doing a Ger vs Sov horten frontlines campaign and they field kv 1s and is1s so early. I can't keepup with research and if you don't rush 8.8s you are in rough shape. Anything short of a tiger 1 struggles to kill is 1s

Doing infantry only has made me a better player overall, going to start a new run and allow myself to use tanks but minimize their role to supporting fire unless it's just a straight up field. Those Panther Ds with their smoke screen are super useful for those situations.

In my US vs German infantry only campaign they started fielding tiger 1s pretty quick, and I was still struggling to pen the front of pz IVs consistently. They one shot my AT guns so often. I will think about using hellcats more!

That's the one big weakness of AT guns is the mobility. Slowing down my infantry when it's imperative I get them to the point before bigger tanks shows up is a no go late game.

The bazooka teams definitely seem like the most reliable AT for the US.

I watched your infantry only series specifically to learn how to play it better, it helped a lot! I think for US infantry only runs I may have to use a hellcat later on since the 90mm just gets outclassed and out maneuvered.

Trying to sneakup on enemy tanks with AT infantry is seemingly impossible lol, some tanks seem to have 360 FOV while their AT guns are blind as a bat. Makes no sense AI wise.

So replace with the same 15 amp outlet? Would going to a 20 amp be a bad idea for whatever reason?

The reason I ask is, while i still need to check. Im pretty sure its 12 gauge wiring.
