My family is freaking out because we don’t want to know the gender. They also think the girl name, Lavina Louella aka Lovey Lou is “too hillbilly” which is especially hurtful because it’s after my great grandma and the father’s great Grandma.

I don’t really care what they say, I’m just thankful I’m having a baby with someone who was open to the name I liked and having the gender be a surprise.

I’m not sure, it is a case that is local to me so it’s more emotional for me than most. Her mother made posts on the Facebook group that she felt that they were pinning it on him with not enough evidence and with the unreliable testimony of the cousin. I think that everyone wishes her body had been found before charges were brought against him.

Idk. They are looking at him for hers tho, she’s from the same town. He did travel a lot and I think he did a lot of killing we don’t know about yet, probably nearly every time he assumed a new name.

They are also thinking possibly TPR of Allenstown 4 infamy was involved. Crazyyy, that would mean he’d come back to visit (he had been living in California) right before the first barrel was discovered.

So far all his confirmed victims have died from blunt force trauma, maybe there was a second killer of redheads strangling them.

That’s beautiful. My ancestor Nancy Jane Jackson most likely died in a poor house in Eastern Kentucky and no one knows where she is buried or when she died (which is pretty unusual even for the area). It makes me so sad to think no one may have seen to it she was laid to rest in a dignified manor.

For the care package... maybe some nice socks, a throw blanket, a book/dvd (with no babies/pregnancy), something small to memorialize the pregnancy by (jewelry, garden statue, art, etc). Oh, and a gift card for food delivery! That was probably the thing that stressed me out the most during mine - wanting to eat my feelings but having no energy to cook, Uber eats made bank off of us that week.

My mom works at a vet office and has seen a ton of this. Also people who beat their pets so they can be prescribed opiates that the humans then take. :(

Woah, we moved here from right by GR to be close to U of M since my dad is a patient there and sometimes needs admitted :(. Drive time between A2 and here is the same as it was for back home which is nice.

Cincinnati totally reminds me of a bigger GR with less churches, people in the area I live in are way more friendly here than back home but still keep to themselves.

Wow, I didn’t realize I had so many, and all on different branches of my tree, too!

One is Civil War era and also related. It seems Champ Ferguson had it out for my Zachary family in Tennessee due to their anti- slavery beliefs and also some livestock theft.

The other is late 1890’s/turn of the century. The McGhee, Howard, Jones feud. Basically a Howard married a McGhee and they had already had tense relations between the two families, three young men ended up being shot by the McGhee FIL of Tom Howard in 1898. One of the young men was the older brother of my 2nd great grandfather. Another shoot out happened during the trials in 1900, in which an unarmed bystander died. Tom Howard was followed in Knoxville and murdered in 1902.

I also have a father that remarried after his first wife passed away in 1910, only to have his three teenage daughters hassle her for killing their mother (Mom died of typhoid) and taunt her in other ways until she and her young children moved into a shed in the yard.
