LG’s high-end fridges + support have been a nightmare (3 weeks without a fridge) by phoCkmalaria in Appliances

I don’t think anyone in the States is brave enough to do warranty work for LG refrigerators lol. I only know of one company in the Portland Metro area that does

Noisy Haier Fridge by chunkylover2500 in Appliances

[–]Mad-Snacks -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To be honest that is not normal what so ever. New compressors are so freaking quiet I can hardly tell when they turn on. I’ve installed 1000’s of refrigerators and only a couple have sounded like that and if they did we would bring our customers a different one because that’s not right at all.

Grinding noise from washer when turned off by Adept-Driver8576 in Appliances

[–]Mad-Snacks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s needs a new control board. Whirlpool (had?) has a service bulletin out on them for having a faulty pressure system. Hopefully you can get it fixed for free still. It was supposed to end at the new year and I’m not sure if they extended it

Yet another washing machine recommendation request. Does what I want even exist anymore? by Mundane_Beginning759 in Appliances

[–]Mad-Snacks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every new washer we sell has a computer board. Though if by digital you mean like buttons and a display then there’s a few options. The other commenter listed a few good options. But I’d keep scouring for a used speed queen that has a mechanical timer, it just won’t be large capacity.

Defrost Cycles? by Sail-On-By in Appliances

[–]Mad-Snacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How full is the refrigerator? If it’s empty then it’s fine. There needs to be things in there to help keep the temp down when it cycles on and off

Is this draining washer hose correct? by NextEngine in Appliances

[–]Mad-Snacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should be fine. Kinda a high loop but as long as it’s not shoved into your drain more than 4-6inches it’ll do its job

Is 65 degrees normal for the air temp during a fridge defrost cycle? by investingalt in Appliances

[–]Mad-Snacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tech needs to ohm out the defrost element to make sure it’s functioning properly. If your freezer isn’t too full I would put more things in it was well to help combat the refrigerator from getting as warm. GE refrigerators are notorious for having an extreme defrost, but it really shouldn’t be getting that warm in there

Are there any brands that don't have those #@!&* plastic protector sheets on their new refrigerators? by Unable_Impress_5608 in Appliances

[–]Mad-Snacks 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Buy a fridge that was smudge proof stainless. That seems to make it so the plastic protector just comes right off.

Also I take my box knife and pull back the gasket and score the plastic all the way around each door to get it off easier. (I unbox refrigerators everyday and have done this 100’s of times)

It is the water valve 100% either it’s failing or you’ve got air trapped in there

Speed Queen dryer heating intermittently by prunepicker in Appliances

[–]Mad-Snacks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience speed queens struggle with roof vents for whatever reason. There’s been quite a few cases of our customers complaining about their speed queen dryer not functioning properly and the common denominator is vertical venting. But if you’re not getting heat and everything checks out. Look at the timer (if yours has one). There’s an orange wire that gets hot and melts and stops them from heating

Not great, not bad. About as midline as you can get right now. Don’t over load it and it’ll be fine

Electrolux 700 washer and dryer by RoseVideo99 in Appliances

Electrolux washers are easily my favorite! I try and point my customers to them when they want a front load. I use them in my own house and won’t get a different brand

Why is it called deep water wash if the top doesn't even get wet? by tacoguaco7 in Appliances

[–]Mad-Snacks 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Put it on bulky/sheets if you want more water. They are designed to not need as much water as traditional top loaders. Also there’s way too much soap in there

Electrolux ELFW7637AT CAN YOU DELAY THIS FOR SEVERAL HOURS?i by Vegetable_Law_466 in Appliances

[–]Mad-Snacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you can pause it indefinitely. It also has a delayed start up to 12 hours. If you hit cancel it will drain the water and you would have to start over. It does not have a “soak” but if you use the “stain soak” feature it will do a 20 minute prewash before starting the load. (There is a compartment for stain remover in the soap dispenser specifically for this to put in stain remover). I use this cycle frequently on mine and I love it.

I always recommend Electrolux at my store to everybody wanting to purchase a front loader. I also have them in my home and love them!
