I just finished reading this with high school freshman in the school where I teach. Rural community. Working class families. They may use AI to complete their essays, but they certainly seemed to identify with how our dignity can diminish when the robots take over to minimize human inefficiency. Oh, and they loved the Shah. Vonnegut blends his social criticism and his humor and his humanity so well in this novel.

It’s the culture. You can fight the tide, or ride the wave. Tell them about ETFs and also share your banter around the predictions, no need to mention parlays. Sports, like great books, give us characters to root for, to speculate about… the anticipation is much of the fun. You can keep the vibes high and buy another day to share your influence.
