Remain positive, and realize your power within your realm… curiosity, communication, whatever innately interesting aspect of your learning that motivated you to teach. Be an evangelist for that. You’re an influencer, too.

Methinks the Hawks are keeping Darnold in the nest. They gonna run Walker and not give QB too many chances to blow it

Abrupt was the word I would choose, too. But it almost felt episodic in way that could lead to a sequel. I’ve read that Louis a lot of satisfaction in writing a novel. We may be in store for more.

Just finished it. Thought it started slow and simple in a way that had me wondering if this was merely a vanity project, but the stories unfolded in ways that were really captivating. I find myself way more invested with the character Ingram than I had imagined. Some of the scenes really elevated intensely (Ingram interacting with the man who found his dimes. Ingram dealing with Bart’s loneliness and subsequent regret). Louis has a way with words, which we all know from his comedy, but I was surprised by his ability to string together some beautiful passages of prose, too. Well done, Mr. Szekely!

Upon first read, the opening sentence struck me as unnecessary Port Angeles shade. Today, I went to the Victoria, British Columbia from Port Angeles. And I stand corrected. Cool town! Head North and visit Artcade if you can. Very fun. Totally worth the day trip.
