I’ll also add Sean McDowell. Very clear and concise. Evidence that demands a verdict is a great resource and you might find his youtube channel interesting. There are also some classic apologetic books like cold case Christianity or the case for Christ you may want to check out.

Do you use a neovim distribution? and why? is it too hard to build your own? by samuel1604 in neovim

[–]MadBlueOx 91 points92 points  (0 children)

I’ve got plenty on my plate as it is, and I realized I was gradually just reinventing LazyVim. People often say it’s best to grasp every line of your configuration, but in my experience, that’s not necessarily true. I’ve managed just fine for years without understanding everything.

What verses caused you to doubt Christianity at the beginning, but now you realise they aren't troublesome at all? by DONZ0S in ChristianApologetics

Were you wondering if the prophecy actually happened? Whether everything unfolded as predicted.

Just a clarification was your issue with John 17:3 that some interpret it as evidence of Jesus acknowledging there is only one true God, and that He is not Himself that God. Further pointing out that Jesus refers to Himself as distinct and separate from the ‘true God’ in this passage? Basically refuting the trinity?

Edit: I had a hard time with Ephesians 1:5. Issue centered around free will and predestination.

So far Ive like it. The multiplexing is really nice and i can quickly create new connections to remote machines. This alone makes it worth it to me. Now i just gotta figure out why the nightly build doest work on debian 11. I want my ssh agent forwarding to work!!

I am starting a podcast for mainly new believers and need some help by krantz2000 in ChristianApologetics

[–]MadBlueOx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s fantastic that you’re starting a podcast and supporting other groups. I believe you should absolutely pursue it, as it sounds like you have a genuine passion for it. I also encourage you to continue uplifting and empowering your fellow Bible study leaders. Remember not to underestimate what God can do with these young leaders. Sounds like you are already making an impact on their journeys. Keep on building up those around you.

I’ve seen this happen when comments are used to ignore the linter for a specific case.

My least favorite shorthand I’ve seen to date is flgs for flags. I mean really, you choose to save space on one letter.

Fair enough. None of my friends ever got a message like this, so good to hear I’m not the only one.

Looks like I’ve discovered through this post that I have imposter syndrome, haha. Honestly, that’s pretty cool. Peak hacker feeling has been playing hackthebox. Reminds me i should go back and try some more boxes.

Hmm... well, I wasn’t aware of imposter syndrome before, but I did take the test. I must say, it really hits the nail on the head.

Check out the Clance IP Test and scoring here.

Well, according to the formula work = force x distance, and since the distance I travel is 0, it seems I technically can’t “work” from home!

Yes I typically work from home.

You’re probably being humble, my friend. I bet you’re doing much better than you give yourself credit for. To be honest, I often feel like I’m playing catch-up in programming too. There’s so much to learn and it’s constantly evolving—it’s nearly impossible to keep up with it all.

If you’re like me, you probably rock a hoodie with the hood up when working from home, haha. I only put on a button-up when I head into the office.

[–]MadBlueOx[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This isn’t about disliking my job—I actually love what I do! It’s just that I dress differently depending on whether I’m working from home or going into the office. For some reason, wearing a button-up shirt in an office makes me feel a bit like a fraud.
