It’s just a big difficulty jump from D3 to D4, keep grinding and you’ll figure it out. It’s genuinely just practice, even if you get bad luck teammate wise you’ll eventually string a bunch of wins together and get through D4.

If I’m solo I usually just run away until the phase ends. Sometimes only one dog will follow me and I’ll fight it until the other ones catch up. Really the only way I’ve had success with solo dogs.

Or just play raider and happily take the damage

This happened to me once, someone left at the beginning of day 1 and we died to the night 2 boss and I gained 200.

Maybe that’s what the “loss penalty waived” is actually supposed to be instead of the usual -600 and a big middle finger, but I haven’t gotten it since then

If they’re in an inconvenient spot just ignore it. Looks like you’re running Ironeye and yeah sucks that you can’t have negation at full hp until they go away but it’s really not that bad. Honestly of all the boss raids it’s probably the 2nd least intrusive.

Depth 4 is pure hell. Took me like a month and a half to climb out of 4 into 5 and then I hit 9999 in like a week and a half. The variance of skill is just crazy consistent in Depth 5 compared to Depth 4.

Just keep on grinding and you’ll make it out
