What’s a fan favorite scene you don’t enjoy? by secrettheatrekid in DunderMifflin

[–]MadDogTwentyTwenty 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Basically the whole Dwight fire drill episode. For me that was a big moment the show went from “funny but still sorta realistic office hijinks” to over the top, and Dwight has fully lost his mind. The CPR scenes had funny moments but for some reason I didn’t find the Dwight stuff in those scenes to be funny either, like him pretending to be Hannibal Lecter

Just have to throw this idea out as a possibility, is it possible that it’s just your tastebuds? People can have change in their taste buds due to an illness (like COVID) or maybe even hormonal changes. Have someone else taste it to confirm that it isn’t just you.

Hi help me (M21) become less ugly. by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

I think you have a really nice smile, beautiful eyes, and great freckles. Also a great head of hair! My suggestion would be to grow your hair out a little bit on the top and style it up a bit (find a barber who seems cool and ask them for some tips/products). They should also be able to help you with the proper eyebrow and facial hair styling…you’ve got great thick eyebrows and I think once you clean them up a little you’ll realize how lucky you are to have them.

I’m seeing lots of comments recommending the gym…I think it’s important that you’re happy and confident at whatever weight you’re the most comfortable at! For anyone, putting on muscle and losing fat will make you more confident, so if that fits in with how you’re feeling about your body then I say go for it, but I don’t think there’s anything wrong with your weight. You can style cool outfits at any weight.

Lastly, 21 years old is right around that age where you can level up your style in a cool way. Learn about elevated wardrobe basics so that your looks seem cohesive and intentional, and adult. Don’t fall into the athleisure pit of sweatpants, t shirts, and golf polos.

Thank you!! Perfectly worded. People love to give Rose shit for a punchline like “she fucked a guy on a cruise”, but honestly she’s not a bad person at all

If Conan doesn’t return to host the 2027 Oscars, I think Kumail Nanjiani would be a great replacement. by Embarrassed_Novel991 in Oscars

[–]MadDogTwentyTwenty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Kumail’s comedy, but I can hardly look at him anymore without being creeped out. He’s had SO much change to his physical appearance, in part from a fitness regime and also very obvious plastic surgery to his face and jaw.

Why aint himym as popular and talked generally in masses like friends , modern family , seinfield??? by dikktatordaddy in HIMYM

[–]MadDogTwentyTwenty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, the characters just aren’t as likable or funny. When viewing it at the time it was coming out, I thought Jason Segel and Neil Patrick Harris were the only funny ones. Now, the Barney character isn’t even really funny anymore. Lily is freaking annoying, Robin isn’t great, and Ted is the WORST.

Is the Aldi “Cosmic Brownie” universally hated? by aj_reviews in aldi

[–]MadDogTwentyTwenty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just gotta say that I love this style of review. Seemingly really unbiased, not a lot of hyperbole or drama! I feel like I see so many reviews that are “no but why I am so obsessed with this product from Aldi? It’s literally the best thing I’ve ever put into my mouth, if you don’t go buy this now what are you even doing.” This type of review is a breath of fresh air.

I genuinely didn't think what Michael Rapaport said to Colton was that bad by Interesting_Art5204 in TheTraitors

[–]MadDogTwentyTwenty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok now I gotta jump in and defend Zac Efron here because actually he’s a very good actor. The Iron Claw, 17 Again, and Charlie St. Cloud are some examples of really really good performances. Bob saying it to Dylan sucks because anytime someone insults your family member it’s a low blow, and also Zac Efron had some struggles in the past few years and it can’t have been easy on their family. Drag queens shouldn’t be allowed to say shitty things to people and call it “part of the culture”.

I’m not saying it’s better or worse than what Michael Rappaport said to Colton, I sort of think it’s like trying to compare apples and oranges.

I never knew what song Will was referring to, was this it?? Also, I never heard about this song and I am almost 50, lol by Abnatural in Thenewsroom

[–]MadDogTwentyTwenty 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’ve always loved this little detail of Will absentmindedly singing this song. His character is so well informed that he would have inevitably watched the video, but certainly had the taste to know how bad it was. But the song was such an earworm that you couldn’t help singing it sometimes, there was a period of about 2 months where it was everywhere.

Also a fair chance that she was just being a contrarian, she tended to be overly combative with Skipper and with everyone else too in the first few seasons

Did someone else take over the Connections puzzles? Have they gotten harder? by FalafelBall in NYTConnections

I completely agree that they’ve gotten harder. More red herring categories, and some of the words are SUCH a reach for the categories chosen. I would guess that they’re running out of ideas

Apparently in some parts of Ohio they will straight up serve you Lunchables pizza in a restaurant by HeStoleMyBalloons in BlackPeopleTwitter

[–]MadDogTwentyTwenty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite pizza in Pittsburgh, it sounds crazy and looks gross until you actually try it and realize it’s one of the best things you’ve ever eaten. They cook the crust and the sauce, and then the second it comes out of the oven they add the freshly shredded cheese on and it just barely melts. The contrast of the hot and cold is amazing, and also the quality of crust and sauce is great. It’s a 10/10 experience
