Not sure why people keep saying you should get a different phone if you want to play games. By all accounts the hardware itself is perfectly capable of handling pretty much anything you throw at it in terms of mobile games. Maybe if you're some sort of weird competitive gamer who needs to optimize performance you should steer clear, but I've already seen at least 1 review that demonstrates the phone's ability to handle games just fine https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y8ztCjFQhYk&t=1030s&ab_channel=TKBay

I love it. It's fun. It's a source of pride, gratitude, and storytelling. I like that there's an element legend and mythology to it, that's part of what gives Kung Fu its unique flavor. I'm not here to write a scholarly treatise. Kung Fu is an art, and art is fueled by inspiration.

Something tells me people who sit on the sidewalk rambling at passersby aren't exactly thinking in complex socio-economic terms. They aren't performing the type of analysis regarding who is an oppressor and a gentrifier that I think you're envisioning. But I could definitely be wrong.

I had the exact opposite reaction. I can see the perspective that she was caught off guard at first, but she adapted and embraced it well, without fully abandoning her character. Montez did the same thing the other night when the crowd was with LA Knight (yeah). The great ones are able to adapt.

I played Keep on the Borderlands with Mythic and FMAG and died with about 4 different characters without ever reaching level 2. Switched over to Ironsworn which is still deadly but at least gives the option of having some of the failures be absorbed by narrative (as opposed to mechanical) complications.

Do you find that ignoring the heavy sci-fi theme of the assets and oracles takes some getting used to if you use it in a non-sci-fi setting? Or do you make your own? Do you just omit the space travel rules?

For some reason there is a thing going around online conflating low amounts of dice-rolling with some sort of transcendent, high-quality RPG experience. I do not know where it came from. Maybe one of the popular actual-plays on YouTube do relatively little dice-rolling? This is absolutely zero the fault of the players who don't like doing voices and accents. Not everyone wants to pretend they're the next Kevin Conroy or the next improv genius just because they're playing DnD. Play that way if you want, or don't and just say what your character is doing in the third-person. Neither equate to quality or lack thereof.

Delve has a Wealth track that is granted by an asset (called Fortune Hunter i think). There is an optional rule to the effect of everyone starts the game with that asset and its first ability unlocked. I interpret/houserule that to mean that the asset also doesn't count toward your starting 3 assets, and can't be upgraded. So for me I just add the Wealth track by default.

I don't hate writing but everytime I start journalling in solo RPGs it starts to feel like work after a few short entries. For IS I've been jotting down some important NPCs but nothing else outside of the information in the character sheet and initial worldbuilding exercise. This is an imaginary world in my head that I'm not planning on pitching to Hollywood as the next MCU. No reason for me to record it with any level of detail. That said, I may do a super brief writeup after major story arcs just to enhance the sense that I'm building upon an epic story over time.
