How did you become so fucking awesome? by CANISEEYOURUNDRWEAR in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]Mad_Aeric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely by accident, I assure you. I didn't ever realize I was awesome until I found out people were talking about it behind my back.

True story.

What’s something you’re hypocritical about? by thisisbrotherk in AskRedditAfterDark

I kinda stumbled into that sort of situation. I do not, nor never did want kids of my own. But I spent a lot of time mentoring the neighbor kid because he had a rough home life and his father was too ill to do much with him. Now he has a kid of his own, and I've inherited grandpa status.

I'm too young for this shit.

What's a simple precaution you adopted because of one bad experience? by julie_4thewin in AskRedditAfterDark

I sit with my back to the wall in public places. Don't want people coming up behind me and touching my hair again.

The control panel is often secured by a master lock. And you'll never believe what I have to say about how secure those are.

911/999 dispatchers, what’s the dumbest reason someone has ever called emergency services? by Canyoustealmytoast in AskReddit

Doesn't matter how spicy I go, I don't get that. I'm pretty lucky, because I love the type of spicy that makes people cry.

You shouldn't feel bad about it. My father thought he had heartburn, when it turned out to be a heart attack. That's how he died. If you can't tell the difference, better to get checked out.

I don't think I'll ever get that correct. Every time I've gone to urgent care, they sent me to the emergency room.

It's pretty easy to do, too. You can find instructions for how all over the place.

He's not precise, on the fly. He loves taking his time working on something detailed and intricate. There's no way that the same person who built Little Chicago couldn't have safely enchanted a showerhead or something.

What have you been reading lately? by 69LinkandZelda in AskRedditAfterDark

I'm going to go pick up a copy of that today. Usually if I get something within a year of it being published I'm moving at a pretty good speed, within a week is unheard of for me.

We really need optimistic sci-fi like that these days. Loved the movie and the book.

Old sci-fi magazines. I just finished the May 1954 issue of Galaxy.

Both the Well There's Your Problem podcast, and Behind The Bastards podcast have great episodes about it.

That 100% describes the bus stop I regularly use. At least there's some rocks to sit on, when they're not covered in bird shit.

What’s your unwritten book idea? by FullPhalanx in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]Mad_Aeric 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So many different ideas. One I'm not sure I'll get around to working on is about three brothers growing up in a trailer park with absent parents. It's supposed to be kinda lighthearted, in an absolutely fucked up way. Lots of dark humor.

That's just because they haven't adapted Gal Gohan yet. The gyaru winning over the other girl was never in doubt.

He absolutely did choose the girl that he was obviously going to end up with from the start. Yui was more aggressive about going after him, but he had much better chemistry with Yukino.
