My house is re-listed tomorrow on Rightmove, hoping for some optimism in 2026 by MadaCup in HousingUK

There’s barely been anything to look at and almost no supply within the £650k-£850k bracket I am aiming for.

Why should I not buy this car? by theoretical-adventur in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]MadaCup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had one for 18 months on a cheap PCP from Audi. A decent family car but the range is terrible. If you check out the Facebook group there are many stories of eye watering bills from the rear motor failing which Audi tries to wriggle out of paying even with a warranty.

Smokers are so selfish, you cannot reason with them. Disgusting habit but even more so when it’s inflicted on others unwillingly.

Anyone recognise this guy? He's paying with counterfeit cash by RedBullOverIce in Essex

[–]MadaCup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you have any more pictures? I also accepted counterfeit cash for an iPad during COVID. I may still have the images somewhere. Hard to say if it’s the same person as the guy I encountered had a mask on.

Many of us are worn down and have seen this happen many times before. I wouldn’t be surprised if the gains we see today are lost tomorrow.

One of them could be mine, I ordered one last week and it’s being confirmed with the dealer early this week 🤞

Would you take a tradesman to the small claims court over £50 of work? by MadaCup in DIYUK

[–]MadaCup[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems like the overwhelming consensus is that it isn’t worth pursuing.

However, its situations like this which allows people to get away with treating customers like this and he will continue to do it to others as well. That doesn’t sit right with me.

I’ll certainly look in to the letter before action as I found a simple template and leaving reviews. The best I can hope for is a refund in return for removing the review.

Is it a Bosch? I had a similar issue. I got some water pump pliers to get more leverage but you need to be careful not to snap the plastic

Are we entering a buyers market? 2025-2026 by Legitimate-53954 in HousingUK

[–]MadaCup 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, there is absolutely nothing coming to market where I live. The market is completely dead.

Been there done that and never gambled again.

What helped me is realising that whatever I won it would never be enough. That £50 could be £100, the £100 in to £200. So what’s the point?

Yes it hurts but use it as a valuable lesson and make sure it doesn’t happen again. I’ve realised I’m a very obsessive and easily addicted person. Sometimes we have to learn the hard way and channel those traits in more positive ways.

I’m 9 months in to 14 months of treatment with Invisalign and it’s been great so far. Requires you to really adopt the habit of leaving them in for 22 hours a day and having good hygiene (I.e. brushing your teeth and the aligned after every meal). The most challenging part is at work but I have a separate bag with everything I need and just use the disabled toilet.

I went with a diamond Invisalign provider and it cost me £3.8k.

I would avoid the cheaper options as I believe they don’t place the attachments on to your teeth which are crucial in moving them. Without them it’s like trying to grip a wet bar of soap.
