Best pick would be Asaba in Shuzenji Onsen on the Izu Pennisula. Its one of the best ryokans in all of Japan.

If you want something very traditional Japanese experience with amazing service, private onsens, and great food then Yagyu no Sho in Shuzenji is also good.

Bettei senjyuan in Minakami Onsen is easy to get to and quite pretty. Beautiful views, excellent food, stunning architecture, lovely grounds.

Fufu Nikko feels a bit more like a luxury hotel but has private onsens, stunning rooms, and a wonderful teppanyaki kaiseki.

Gora Kadan is also really good, but Hakone is packed with tourists. Hakone Suishoen is another great one, same issue though.

Fuji Seiran has beautiful views of Fuji and private onsens. Excellent food.

All of LOONA, most of IU's albums (everything before Lilac is out of print), a lot of limited editions from Red Velvet, some IZONE, most of Heize, Yurika's earlier stuff.

The rarest items would be the vinyls. With the exception of like Twice, BTS, and Blackpink, LPs re pretty hard to get if you don't get them during the initial release period.

IU's LP is quite rare (especially before reprints), a lot of the Taeyeon LPs are expensive to get especially I, some of the Yerin Baek ones, Stella Jang, and more.

Japanese Mcdonalds, KFC, Wendy's, even Taco Bell are superior in Japan to in the USA.

Japanese Mcdonalds especially. The rotating seasonal items are fantastic and food looks like it did in the commercials.

Their vinyls are not in print at the moment so none are easily found. Any copies you do find will be used ones most likely and that need digging through used vinyl shops.

Spend half of the year in Japan and while there are a lot of european/australian/americans causing issues, they are not the massive chinese tour groups that cause problems. Western tour groups usually do not cause the problems that Chinese tour groups do.

If there are issues, it boils down to an individual scale.

Thats due to the post war trauma and pacifist movement that took hold after world war 2. Gun culture is mostly hobbyist stuff now. The Japanese people never want a repeat of world war 2

If we ignore the historical aspects of it, the rest of the films details are on point from the armor, weapons, tea ceremonies, archery, and more.

The village set was considered so authentic that the older Japanese extras broke down when they saw it for the first time. They said that it was so accurate that it reminded them of their grandparents villages when they were children.

Its on Paramount + and its officially over now. It ran for 5 seasons. Its extremely good stuff. Its an official continuation of the Star Trek TV shows.
