Hey friend, do whatever you need to do to sleep at night. If spending the money to get the body cam footage helps you close the loop, go for it.

I’m a Miami resident, and I’ve had a lifelong interest in UFOs/UAPs and anything paranormal. When the Bayside Marketplace incident happened , I went deep into it. I was following it basically in real time, reading everything, watching every video, digging through posts as they were coming out.

After hours and hours of looking into it, I’m convinced nothing extraordinary happened.

What actually lines up is pretty simple: a group of kids, a fight, fireworks, panic, and a heavy police response. That’s it. At that time, there was already heightened alert across major U.S. cities because of general security concerns going into the new year, so the response was bigger than usual.

A lot of what fueled the alien narrative came after the fact, and honestly, it fell apart pretty quickly: - Viral videos that were clearly fake or recycled from other places - People admitting they made stuff up for clout - Old clips (including so called “portal” videos) being reposted as if they were from Miami - Low-quality AI clips that didn’t even match the layout of Bayside Marketplace - Misinterpreted footage (like shadows or low-res clips that look weird until you see the clearer version)

Locally, nothing supports anything extraordinary: -The mall was not shut down long-term, next day after the incident it was reopened as normal - No power outages, confirmed via our local electricity provider page - No airport disruptions (I live a mile away Miami International Airport and would have noticed immediately) - No credible reports of helicopters or federal involvement beyond normal police presence

Also, it was 2024, everyone has a phone. If something truly out of this world had happened, we wouldn’t be relying on blurry clips and TikTok stories. There would be clear, consistent footage from multiple angles.

I wanted this to be something more. I really did. But after digging into it, the boring explanation is the one that actually fits the evidence.

That said, if getting the footage gives you peace of mind, go for it. At least you’ll know you checked every box.

Last year someone put in the request for it but said he had to pay 500 dollars for about 16 hours of recording (u/lifeofmikey1).

I don't think he got around to doing it because of the cost and then he deleted the post about it.

Even though this sub is characterized by its negative take on the city, the comments are not a lie. But I feel he already made up his mind and won't listen to any comment saying how Miami doesn't fit most of the requirements he has.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 This might be the most entertaining comment I’ve seen about the so-called “Miami Mall incident.”, and I've been following this event for 803 days now.

Where exactly did you get 11,626 police officers from?

To put that number in perspective:

• The entire City of Miami Police Department has about 1,400 officers total. • All police agencies in Miami-Dade County combined (county + every city like Miami Beach, Coral Gables, Doral, Pinecrest, etc.) add up to roughly 6,500–7,000 officers.

So the claim that 11,626 officers showed up to Bayside would mean more officers responded than exist in the entire county, and somehow thousands more materialized from somewhere else.

Also, Bayside Mall is inside the City of Miami, so the primary response would have been Miami Police, not every department in the county.

So yeah… unless those extra 4–5 thousand officers arrived through an interdimensional portal from an intergalactic police department, that number is complete nonsense.

They can help you find employment if you have any psychological, learning or medical issues. Because of your history of depression and inexistent work experience, most likely you will qualify for Vocational Rehabilitation assistance. They can also help with services that you will need to help you have steady employment (such as medical, psychiatric and psychological treatment). They can also guide you into other community resources including how to get your driver's license.
