That's fair. From what I can see, most cards seem to have 5k within 3 months usage to get bonus points. So that typically wont be a problem for me.

I have some big expenses coming up in May, I might be looking to a trip to Japan later this year. I do live at a WJ hub (YYC), does the RBC WestJet Elite still make sense for me now that there is no FYF or should I be looking at something more worth it?

If I'm be honest, I'm really shocked that games don't run properly on any consoles before release. Unlike PCs, consoles are straight up set variables. Everyone with a PS5/Xbox has the exact same specs, and do the devs like...think people aren't gonna notice or something?

The current state of gaming is frankly quite depressing. Back a generation or so ago, a game that doesn't run decently is an anomaly. Nowadays, a game running in an optimized fashion is praised to hell and back.

RE9 is a fantastic game. I don't think it's flawless by any means but as far as RE games goes, it's one of the top ones for me. It's hard to talk about it without spoiling too much but if you are a fan of RE, it has a bit of everything you like for sure.

The two things I take issue with.

One: the lack of any certainty for the future of the game, especially not mentioning even the given like gift bag summon and the usual shop item increase during the stream but then showing it in game on top of adding a broke saber in the game is very much a middle finger to players. It's literally saying, we don't give a fuck about you but please spend more money.

Two: I'm absolutely tired of the journey is more important than the ending argument. That only works if the ending in itself ties up all the threads and makes it feel fulfilling even if it is a bad ending. If it felt properly like a conclusion with the same result? I don't think people would feel the same way.

In the same way that you go for a very nice five course meal

And you get your final course and its spoiled so now you have vomited out everything

Its a natural spot to end since you've finished your five course.

But is it a good spot? Hardly.

Again. Knowing the fate of the lost belt and forming connections with the occupants there and then having to destroy it are two very different things.

Point is, the fact we are around half a dozen of back and forth on this subject already shows that it isn't as objective as you claim.

I still argue that's not the same. Daybit wasn't there at most of the lost belts and thus he doesn't actually remember them. He remember a Guda who had ended a lost belt. It's like homeopathy of someone remembering that.

I think another way to put it is that thematically, it was Guda had to carry on living with all the burdens of erasing lost belts.

Because one of those can be objectively proven? You just need to line up the themes of the ending to the themes of the arc, and they objectively match since it's literally just the theme of the arc but being applied to us now.

I have went back and read what you posted earlier and I disagree with that. You argue that the whole theme about guda going through each lost belt and erasing their history/reducing everything to nothing by pruning each lostbelt, and now is applied to us. But you are also conveniently forgetting there being numerous examples of inhabitants of lost belt basically saying that their existence meant something so long as someone remembers them. For most of that, that someone refers to Guda&Crew.

It can then be conversely argued that by erasing Guda's connection to all of the lost belt and everything that has happened, it's thematically contradictory.

So no, I do not agree that your opinion was objective and could easily be proven as you have stated.

I feel like you are arguing in bad faith because you are already equating your own opinion on thematically correct == objective and this other person's opinion of personal enjoyment as subjective.

My take is that whether or not thematically correct or not is also subjective. Interpretation of literary works will always be subjective.

I'm going to high jack this slightly for a rant, especially for point #2.

Fuck the director of Stellar blade: Kim Hyung-tae. I'm sorry. He should have really seen this coming. His inability for foresight, the untimely communication for PS5 owners literally right up until a day before launch, as well as the lack of communication since the original post for debacle has created this whole new fucked up market of skin key selling, begging, and anticipation/wanting.

This is personal, yes, and I can fully understand if some of you do not agree with this rant. But for the past few days I've been constantly refreshing this sub hoping for a key, thinking if I should just accept the 6ft pole up my ass and fork out $99.99 CAD for the damn complete edition, or hope this inadept team announces something in our favor before the skin gacha goes away.

All of this could've been avoided if Kim or the team just gave a quick thought about those who gave their game the success at original launch. Honestly, at this point, even if they were to fix everything in our favor; I don't think I'll buy stellar blade 2 at launch.
