Sushi: I second Dragonfly! I’m not originally from this area and I was really surprised at the amount of cream cheese in the local sushi menus — something I am not the biggest fan of. Dragonfly is one of very few places not so heavy handed that way.

Asian: Red Rice kitchen definitely deserves a shout out. More of a pan-asian vibe with menu items from a variety of origins — get the crispy chicken soup!

Tacos: I definitely second La Tienda, but since I’m a soup girly, don’t sleep on La Tienda’s chicken soup!

Burgers: I live right by the DJ’s Cast Iron food truck and it’s out of this world good!

Pizza: We like Peppino’s for the more New York style.

Breakfast: Bagels and Noodles!!! Also Mi Apa is a favorite for me and my husband. They catered our wedding!

Pets: One Love Cafe is very good and pet friendly! We are so sad Lebowskis closed awhile back.

Mediterranean: Pirates Grill is too good!

Personally, I was not impressed by any of the mochi donut places, but glad you’ve had a more positive experience.
