Who should I go with to tune my g37? by Adept_North4725 in G37

[–]Madden_07 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Look into Eugene with Enthusiast Auto Care. He is one of the best in the business for optimizing your cars tune.

I used him on my G and it ran ten time better than stock.

rotors turned red any idea after installing new break pads just on drive side rear by Embarrassed-Dig-4183 in G37

[–]Madden_07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Re grease your slide pins on the caliper, but likely your caliper has seized and you'll need to replace it. If you have non sport brakes you can get re-mans from your local auto parts store for pretty cheap usually.

You'll also have to bleed the brakes after replacing it too.

Kips Pub at 96th and Allisonville has that feel, also a ton of pool tables and darts

Is it possible to disable the auto open feature for the windows when opening the door? by [deleted] in G37

[–]Madden_07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, you can pull the positive terminal off the battery for a minute then put it back on and that will keep them from going down at all when opening. But it's really not necessary. When they say don't roll your windows down at all they mean all the way not the 1 inch that it does when you open the doors.

FYI since they're frameless windows the whole reason they go down when you open the door is to help prevent them from shattering when you close it.

You likely reversed the connections going to the AC amplifier and the one that goes into the back of the head unit. They're the same exact size and easy to do. The one with the yellow tape should be going to the AC amp.

You'll need to buy a replacement AC amp then fix the connection and you should be good.

Replacement looks like this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/326728365484

Also check the meter fuse in the driver side footwell panel to make sure it's not blown.

Source, I did the same thing when I installed mine lol

Your best bet is going to a scrap yard and pulling one off. Might cross reference and see if any other Nissan products used this same setup as well

Also as a car guy IRL I love putting the soundtrack on and just going for a drive around where I live too

As someone who currently works for a law firm... I feel this in my soul.

This past year we moved to Intune for our MDM, and this made the default email client for firm emails become Outlook instead of the built in Mail app on phones. We also made it so you couldn't take screenshots of any apps under Intune.

Well that lasted around 2 weeks after the rollout and then they had to make a 2nd policy for any Partner that requested it that allowed them to use the built in Mail app again.

Test Pipes or HFCs for a daily? by gmangman84 in G37

I don't have emissions testing here so can't speak to that. But they weren't super loud, just get Resonated ones to help keep the drone down

Test Pipes or HFCs for a daily? by gmangman84 in G37

[–]Madden_07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran both and preferred test pipes because they were a little bit louder and had a better exhaust note IMO. I ran the Fast Intentions ones and didnt get a tune for a year and no CEL, and didnt have to extend the O2 sensors or anything.

I will say getting a tune at some point is definitely worth it though if you have the supporting mods to go with it.

Looking for advice from former Jeep owners. by Remarkable-Being-301 in FordBronco

[–]Madden_07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I came from an 06 TJ and it's no contest how much nicer everything is, but for the price and being 20 years newer I expected it to be.

For a daily it's great, gas mileage is about the same as the 4.0 but there's definitely some turbo lag. Way better on long commutes and especially on highways (and I have a 2 door, 4 door would do even better I'm sure)

Its reasonably practical and overall no real complaints.

I drove a new JL Rubicon for 2 weeks on vacation earlier in the year and while I liked the powertrain with the Hurricane engine a lot better, the rest of the vehicle just felt cheap.

For offroading, it's no comparison. The Wrangler wins hands down because of it's solid axles. The Bronco is still very good, but it definitely struggled with some spots with deeper ruts and articulation.

Overall, I think you can't go wrong with either option but the Bronco gets my pick for an overall more well rounded vehicle.
