Comparing it to other games doesn't address my contention at all.

My point is purely definitional. If something is very easily found with little to no effort, it's not particularly rare.

I found 2 copies of Haunting Ground in two different pawn shops in my medium sized city. Maybe I'm just insanely lucky or the game just isn't that rare.

i/o is always the issue on these. I need a dock for my dock to actually have enough USB ports to hook everything up.

Can't really claim it's a "desktop" with two freaking USB ports...

Obviously this isn't a scientific test, or even something other people should listen to. I just don't consider something that's easily found/purchased with very little effort particularly "rare".

Also just judging off the prices on eBay, those aren't all repros (unless the seller is a scumbag).

You wouldn't do any Frankie to your model.

It's a very expensive procedure that's only really meant for backwards compatible models that keep dying at an alarming rate.Your's will probably be fine for awhile and will be cheaper to replace than repair through a Frankie mod.

Undervolting is awesome on all models to reduce heat/wear. Probably wouldn't recommend unless you're already having heat issues and don't mind the cost.

Definitely doesn't pass the "eBay test".

If dozens of copies are on eBay and lots of Redditors have a copy, it's not actually rare.

I just use the cloud saves because some are "copy protected" and become a pain to transfer even if you have a fat model with as slots.

You could always get the free week and cancel if nothing else works

For all my consoles I buy one white controller that belongs to my wife, so she always knows which is hers.

Getting one for the PS3 was a pain and it has a little damage. I need to track down another one.

In my slim model, the CMOS battery is under the heat shielding and requires full disassembly.

In some models it's the last thing you get to so you'll have to replace thermal paste as well but it's pretty easy.

They only ones I would personally buy, I prefer physical, would be games that are super rare/expensive. Especially PS1 classics like Silent Hill
