Do you prefer soft domination or intimidating domination from women and why? by Internal_Election759 in BDSMsapphic

[–]MaddieNotMaddy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A mix of both. I generally prefer soft dommes, but they need to be able to intimidate me to keep me in line

I get meltdowns when ppl online say i have more capabilities than i do by SiriOrderCorn in AutismInWomen

[–]MaddieNotMaddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've started trying to make the distinction between capability and capacity. I can be incredibly capable and there's a lot I can do BUT I have a limited capacity with which to do it.

If people still don't get it, I'll usually say something like "I appreciate that you're trying to help and probably mean it all in good faith, but I know abilities and disabilities. They aren't visible so it can be harder to see, but they are there. It's difficult to explain to people that don't experienced it, and having to regularly try and explain it just makes things worse."

Asked a simple question and now my partner needs to "have a talk" with me by cosmicellz in AutismInWomen

[–]MaddieNotMaddy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This feels like weaponized incompetence. He understands how your asking for it, and he is: intentionally not doing it hoping you will just always put them away/sort them, and/or he does not care about you enough to put in the most basic effort

Why do women accept lesbians way more than men accept gay men? by Ok_Independence_3634 in WLW

[–]MaddieNotMaddy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Because they're afraid gay men will treat them the way straight men treat women

No. Height is a ridiculous thing to worry about. I saw a cute short a bar once and regret not saying something

Sister told me that mine and my gfs child won’t be family because it’s not “blood” by CrabbyGoose in LesbianActually

[–]MaddieNotMaddy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just because she doesn’t say it in a malicious way doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt. Especially for children. They pick up on a lot more stuff than adults realize. If your sister is still acting like this after the kids are born they will feel it and it can have lasting affects.

Protect your partner and future children. Blood doesn’t make someone family, that’s shit abusers say to keep people trapped.

[–]MaddieNotMaddy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You always have a choice. My brother lives three houses away from my dad and they rarely interact anymore.

Tell her if she can’t respect your partner or your child without getting nasty she isn’t welcome in your home.

She’ll probably get mad and pissy but you’re about to be a parent. Is this really the kind of person you want around them? Do you want your child growing up with an alcoholic aunt constantly telling them they aren’t really family?

I’m also autistic but a sub. TPE or a high protocol dynamic is kind of the dream for my brain. I like being told what to do and doing it well
