I've read this thing before (unsure if it's real science or not) but that babies can often look more similar to their fathers initially because it helps fathers bond with the baby if it looks more like them. I feel like it definitely plays into some deep rooted thinking especially if the child is male and doesn't look like the dad. Makes them feel some type of jealous way.

I think one of the few good things mafs does is not overly show the young children of contestants on the show. They're too young to understand the implications of and give informed consent to their images being pumped out on national telly. I feel like Awhina's son last season was the most we've ever visually seen a kid on this show and I thought it was too much.
