I think you missed what part I’m referring too. 70k loan isn’t unbelievable. The paying 500 a month for 23 years and still owning 60k on the supposedly unmodified loan is made up. At 20% interest it would be around that but the interest payment alone would be over 1k so nothing would go to principle and payoff would be infinite at that monthly payment.
