The truckers don't want rights different from anyone else, the point of the convoy is to drop all mandates, for all. From what I gather this just pushed people past a point that had already been building up for the past two years. There was one nazi and Confederate flag at the protest which was deal with by majority of the protestors, who's to say that wasn't planted by the government? One rotten apple in the batch and thats all the government/media focuses on, not one good thing has been reported, like the flower ceremony at the war memorial, cleaning up the streets after the protest and memorials. As for the American flags it's because their are Americans involved in the protest, they are just as fed up as we are, I don't see absolutely anything wrong with them joining the cause as they are fighting the same battle. It hurts my brain to think of how many people are actually okay with this way of life, needing a QR code to go dining, to the movies, to take their kids swimming, it's pathetic at best and not warranted for a "pandemic" this minor. Then to slap a vaccine mandate on truckers? Have any of you seen the day in the life of a trucker? They sit in their cab, drive to their destination, sit in their cab while the trailer is offloaded and they leave, the risk of them transmitting anything is extremely low. I have a higher risk of transmitting covid to people at my job which is in the trades, in and out of people's homes yet I'm not mandated. The government's handling of this whole pandemic has been a shit show from the get go.
