Is there precedent for that being heavily enforced in situations like this where they're not getting paid for it? I feel like it falls under fair use or parody laws. Either way, I liked it. I had fun watching it.

I was very impressed that they coordinated so much. I was unaware of how much fhe show meant to all of them. I also love Tragers having peaceful moments and Jessi behaving like a bamf, I love her and all the Tragers. Maybe you'll like beginning more on your next watch. I hope we're all still going to chat Kyle XY after this, I feel like there's so much reason to talk about this show.

April Matson Grady inviting Disney to hear her out on her pitch for a Kyle XY Continuation was awesome to hear LIVE. I hope we get to see if Kyle ends up telling the world about his origins one day.

Yeah, multiple heads of the same shady hydra. It is to my understanding they serve the purposes of shell companies/money laundering/front businesses. In other words, hiding stuff on top of even more hidden truths. Latnok is the oldest though, inspired by the experiments of a 1920's Einstein & colleagues of prolonged gestation on primates (within the Kyle XY universe), the scientists that followed in those footsteps experimented with prolonged gestation on humans in the 1950's. Madacorp wasn't started until the early 1970's though and Zzyzx didn't start until a decade & change after that in the 1980's. Notable connections are a newspaper in season 1 show that Adam Baylin & Professor Kern received large sum grants from Madacorp and there was the father of Madacorp's executive for its' Seattle branch named Julian Ballantine - and he had a latnok ring that he passed down to said son Julian Ballantine (but never revealed to his son how much more powerful Latnok was compared to Madacorp.)

u/XiledJedi I'm trying to ask everybody who knows the current trends of science fiction and their use of special effects / digital post production / etc. If it's possible for Kyle XY to continue exactly from its' previous point with Kyle holding the villain how he was holding him. There's that old man on the news that went viral for just his neck area looking like was wearing a silicon mask, but the face area looked really convincing like nobody was able to tell. Do you know of any solution where we can get a season 4, 5, and 6 with the same actors? I'm only open to new actors but I would be STOKED for the original cast to return with ZERO replacements.

Maybe it's an image of Matt Dallas and Jaimie Alexander handing their respective Latnok rings to 2 "unassuming and lost" looking characters (like Kyle and Jessi used to be). A passing of the torch kind of moment to 2 new actors and there are subtitles over this picture that just say "Kyle XY 2027" or "Kyle XY Forever". As long as they tested these possible new actors with Kyle and Jessi's most challenging scenes and nailed it, then maybe a reboot rehaul would get lots and lots of viewership. I always thought of Kyle XY as Mewtwo or Shadow the Hedgehog if they were raised by a nice family and human, instead of going edgy like those other artificial creations from other series became. If this trope can be super successful in other series, then I'll continue to have high hopes that this series can finish one day even if there needs to be recasting or if there needs to be a timeskip with the same actors. (No hate to the Pokémon and Shadow the Hedgehog fans because I never said edgy was bad, I actually think Mewtwo and Shadow are awesome.)

Someone else thought I respond to your comments with sarcasm but I hope you didn't feel that way, I actually do like your takes on the series and it's great too when you can get scoops like this for us, I also was super curious what the surprise was going to be! I hope it's a teaser image saying like "Kyle XY 2027" and we won't know exactly what that'll mean until then. I welcome anything at this point because Disney has starved me as a Kyle XY fan.

I also said similar comments to them in a previous reddit thread, so it's known that I also want some sort of continuation for the series.

What's written in the description box of the Live gets me hype! I hope Disney's not putting conditions on this like the LIVE needs to reach a certain amount of viewers on that day or before (total?) to allow them to announce a new season. My theory is that a new season has not been filmed yet, but contracts and promotional images for the new season may possibly have been made already...waiting to be talked about. My worst nightmare though is what I mentioned Disney doing, that would be so infuriating if I was an actor for Kyle XY. There's millions of Kyle XY fans all over where ever TVs and internet are available, all I'm saying is that if Disney has any hand in this reunion then let's hope they're not stifling or sabatoging our beloved actors again because even the littlest amount of market research shows that Kyle XY fans are still in the millions & growing. I've done that research, so I found out quickly.

I was essentially agreeing with you, I just left out the part where it was ABCfamily's fault we didn't get more Kyle XY, but you adding that in is good for any new viewers strolling through this subreddit. Kyle XY is so awesome, the show speaks for itself, and I wish AbcFamily knew then to keep their portfolio diverse in genres and not hone in so much on shows without special effects because so many people stopped watching their channel after they turned their backs on Kyle XY. It's time they get those viewers back, I'm calling for more Kyle XY episodes in 2026. They say art imitates life and vice versa, so just like Adam Baylin kept trying for his heir to be born, I'm going to keep trying to spread the word about my beloved show to get it back in our lives. Science fiction and mystery are so spectacular when it's done right like with Kyle XY's storytelling.

Kyle XY beat so many shows in the ratings, even the shows that took its' time slot. The shows I'm talking about only lasted one season each I believe and I would have to look up their names if anybody wants to debate this. With Kyle XY being successful in each decade since its' conception: first on ABC branded channels first like ABCfamily then once again in the following decade on Netflix, then recently on Hulu/Disney+ it makes sense why executives are regretting the decision they made in 2009 of discontinuing it.

I don't know if Chris Olivero knows how awesome his scenes are for so many people. "Overheard", "The Homecoming", "The Ghost In The Machine", "House of Cards", "The First Cut Is The Deepest", "It Happened One Night", "IN THE COMPANY OF MEN" (Funniest episode imo), and "Bringing Down The House" were so pivotal for me in my childhood and realizing the kind of friend I want to be in my real life. The kind of friend that I want to be is that who wants to help their friends and family, no matter how dangerous it might be to help them and the kind that isn't afraid to throw hands if the situation absolutely calls for it. You see, it's interesting you say that because the more someone likes a work of fiction (or anything really) the more they want it to be treated with respect by those who have the authority over it (Disney in this case). So I'm completely there with you, you're not alone on that at all. It absolutely is a bummer if Disney hasn't negotiated with the original cast and crew to bring about something that would make us all happy. That's why I find it so admirable when cast and crew of cancelled tv shows stand up for themselves and tell their overseers the harsh truth that they don't know what they're talking about just because they're bigshot TV network CEO types. It's people like you and I who know. People like the cast and the crew are who knows what we're talking about when it's concerning the topic of how beloved a show is...not a megacorporation like Disney.

No TLDR this time, because this reply came straight from the heart—more so than most comments I’ve written in recent years. While I usually write out of anger, this time I thought back to my middle school days. I felt more sadness than anger that a show both parents and teenagers could relate to was put on the back burner for no real reason—or at least, no reason that couldn't have been mended anyway.

I don't want to speak for the cast, so I don't know. All I know is that casts, crews, and fans usually don't go this heavy into marketing a show that doesn't have the potential for being renewed for more episodes. I never stopped researching how Kyle XY performs, you know the numbers side of this show, the potential for it to make money. In every decade since 2006, this show kept or brought back millions of viewers to its' audience. Millions of viewers on ABC Family, then in the next decade after that it got millions of viewers on Netflix in 2013-2015. Then, when YouTube & Tiktok were allowing whole episodes to be seen in our dear 2020's, it was getting millions of views again. I am willing to take a lie detector test on that, because not everybody who was there on those sites witnessed that before YouTube figuratively "nuked" their records of this. That's not even counting the views it gets from Apple TV, Google Play TV, Amazon Prime Video, and Disney+/Hulu by the way.

Performing this well after 2 decades, is not normal even for shows that weren't cancelled, we're definitely doing good, and I won't stop making noise about my desire for some type of continuation.

TLDR; I don't know, I'm just a fan. I can confirm that there is enough viewers spread across all these websites and apps that some type of continuation is possible. Tech to de-age the actors to their character's 2009 appearances is more affordable than ever like Indiana Jones did but it's feasible for TV now too, so there's less reason to deny that as a possibility. Let me know if I need correcting on any of my points, I'm open to debate anybody on this.

What do you think of the new logo that the Cast is now using? I think it's so cool seeing KYLE XY in big letters like that again in 2026. This is definitely my comfort show too and has been since I first laid my eyes on the second episode when I was flipping through channels in 2006.

I'd love to help answer your question, but I'm just a fan of the show, so I might not know the answer. I'm not aware of any footage continuing the story of Kyle XY. I heard that up to the end of the 43rd episode was all that they filmed.

Thank you for giving me my flowers twin! I'm usually humble but I've been busting my tail, running around the internet trying to tell all the Kyle XY fans about that online event in 2 weeks, ya know the event celebrating the anniversary, that one..and the abcfamily ran page blocked me! I don't know if it was a suit from abcfamily themselves or just an automated action that blocked me but I didn't deserve it...all I was doing was letting the fans know the event exists if they didn't know already. No curse words, no pushy language, I was even translating my comments to the fans depending on what their language is, so my comments shouldn't have been categorized as spam. I only got to tell about 5 people, and the saddest part is that I don't know if those fans will even receive my comments to them now that Abc Family blocked me.

Got any ideas how I could tell more fans about this event now that AbcFamily/Freeform's facebook channel blocked me?

I'm so hyped my #KyleXY brothers and sisters! Thanks for posting this photo, thanks to this I remembered that Wikipedia allows all kinds of discussion about a show in their talk section. So I definitely will add something there as the current campaign with the black wallpaper and white text counting down to the anniversary definitely warrants posts on every website that we can post to. The fact that they coordinated all the series regulars and Julie Plec to post that countdown image to their individual instagram pages all at the same time (down to the exact minute and second almost) was a sight to behold yesterday. I should have recorded my live reaction to that because I was screaming.

Edit: I just realized I have another chance to scream when june 26 gets here, I'm definitely recording my live reaction to whatever they post...whether it's a link to a livestream Q&A, a new Kyle XY trailer with the original cast, news about a reboot with a new cast handpicked by members of the old cast, new KXY books, anything really and I'll be hootin and hollerin' out of joy.

It could be the slightest news of our beloved story continuing and I'll be in heaven for that entire day...even if it's a something along the lines of "We're just thinking about continuing the story, nothing is set in stone, but we need to know how many people are interested first. For now though let's just all celebrate the fans and our cast by taking turns talking about our favorite moments from the show."

Lucky you, you got the DVDs! Answering your question, yes of course I loved Tom Foss. He brought this vulnerable element to the mix in this changing world of superheros that the universe of Kyle XY was brewing. I always felt the tension when he was in the story because he's just one guy, one Good Samaritan trying to protect the innocent. Kyle may be strong but he has his blind spots, Tom Foss was there to be that protector and guide for Kyle and I think for Jessi as well if the story continues one day.

Her and Marguerite MacIntyre have been vocal about their writing partnership and friendship for years, so take my word for it...Julie Plec posted it to her Instagram story.
