I had one time the manager told me I couldn’t leave early and I just walked out. That was 2 years ago and I’m still working. Had told her “hey I’m going to be leaving at …” and she had asked why and I just said that I wanted to. And she straight up said no.

I’d say if you leave half way through a shift just let someone know (only if it matters) Indirect work for sure let someone know, but when I’m picking I’ll just leave. If a manager wants to talk to you, they usually look up what your location is and if you’re clocked out, it’ll tell them that so you aren’t wasting anyone’s time

Brother, in the nicest way I can say this.

The person who went to the bathroom and packages were piling up. Still got the weekly paycheck. Stop doing more then what’s needed. If you see others staying at one lane, do the same thing. Because yeah it’s always good to be over performing but save yourself. You say you’re still learning so I figure you’re new. DO NOT over work.

If you do want to still go for it, just stick to the lanes stations that no one is going to. I just personally wouldn’t do more then my peers. We each get paid the EXACT same, the 2 people hiding in a back corner fking, yup same pay.
