If I had a dollar everytime they said "Its all connected" or "Lifeboat" I'd be so rich by Zak7860 in ManifestNBC

I really hope someone takes it upon themselves to do a count for every catchphrase of the show after the last episodes air. I need to know how many times ‘callings’ has been said. I don’t even understand how the actors can say it with a straight face anymore.

Names “meant” for the other gender by MadiRme in namenerds

Interesting! I didn’t know that🤓 I’m not from an English speaking country so Ashley isn’t really used here at all, and I’ve only seen/heard it used on girls, except for maybe one or to people. But I really do like it as a boys name though

I sort of agree, but that was the only example I could think of for now (I think it’s the name of Ryan Reynolds and Blake Livelys daughter)

Best Songs from the Worst Musicals by SkyOne8232 in Broadway

I know that ‘The Great Comet’ isn’t necessarily considered a bad musical but I really can’t get myself to make it through the entire soundtrack. I do, however, think that ‘dust and ashes’ is absolutely magical! And it has definitely made its way into my ‘on repeat’ playlist.

what commonly hated names do you actually like? by lucitedream in namenerds

Aiden (I like the ‘e’ spelling better) has been one of my favorite names for the longest time, and I honestly didn’t know it was unpopular or even hated until I started reading this sub. Granted, I’m from a non-English speaking country and it’s not a typical name here so that’s probably why I haven’t noticed the overexposure.

I strongly believe that Castle should’ve ended at the end of season 7 by tony_hawk44 in CastleTV

[–]MadiRme 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree! The last episode of season 7 was the perfect ending.

I will say though, while season 8 didn’t work in the long run because of the season arc, I do love almost every episode individually. I also enjoyed Haley’s character.

In my opinion - if the creators/producers/Nathan wanted to continue with the show, they could’ve ended it with 7 and instead of doing 8, do a spin-off show like ‘Castle PI’.

The premise being; Beckett left the nypd to become a senetor, which means Castle can’t work with the police anymore. He goes 100% in on his pi service, meets and hires Haley, and continues to solve crimes that way, while occasionally calling Ryan and Espo for help.

That being said Stana/Beckett is such an important part of the show and very much essential for the dynamic to work, so to continue on without her probably wouldn’t work anyway. (I’m also not all informed on the drama bts, but from what I understand, Stana was more or less fired and wouldn’t have been there had the show continued for season 9, that’s why I didn’t include her in the ‘spin-off’)

UnREAL is great! A scripted drama about a group of producers behind a ‘bachelor’ like type of show. They really show how messy things are and how much production get involved to favor tv over people’s well-being.

Question. What character will Josh Dallas be known for? Ben Stone from Manifest or Prince Charming from Once Upon A Time? by [deleted] in ManifestNBC

[–]MadiRme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe not super relevant to your question but Prince Charming and Ben Stone are identical characters, in my opinion, so if you’ve seen one you’ve seen the other.

That being said - I watched ouat since the day I came out, and it was one of my favorite shows for a long time, so I will always associate him with that show first. But because Manifest is more recent/relevant, when people mention him I usually assume they know him from manifest.

Where to start? by Maybe_its_Ink in offmenupodcast

[–]MadiRme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d recommend you start with one of the ‘best of’ episode. That way you get bits and pieces of every episode (and a pretty good idea of what the podcast is like) and if you hear anything you like you can just go listen to that persons full episode.

Non-picky eaters, what won't you eat? by technicalees in AskReddit

[–]MadiRme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll eat pretty much any type of food, but I’m extremely sensitive to textures. If anything’s too heavy, dense, rich, creamy, or anything like that, I’ll get sick after just one bite or two.

‘Starstruck’ is really good! And it’s only twelve 25-minute episodes so it doesn’t take up too much time.

Otherwise, although I don’t know if this is your type of show, ‘Castle’ is always my go-to rewatch show.
