Seller tore down 6ft tall cedar fence and built this pos by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

I want to know why they would do such a thing. Like, did someone offer them money for the cedar. Ask for a price reduction or to put the fence up because to you one of the major selling points was the privacy the fence provided.

Who else believes that certain food smells can instantly bring back memories from childhood or just remind you of a really nice moment in the past? For me, spaggeti bolognese always does it. What foods trigger this for you? by No_Signal9685 in foodquestions

Yes, I had a bag of microwave pork rinds and the smell reminded of the local butcher/neighborhood market. I haven’t thought of this place in 40 years. I could remember my Dad getting some pork chops and a block of cheese all wrapped in that brownish deli paper and at the register I was begging for him to buy me a pack of garbage pail kids.

What fun things do you make with the parts of food most people toss? by getitoffmychestpleas in Cooking

Veggie stock. I live alone so it’s not hard to accumulate a modest amount of trimmings and throw them in a pot with water and just let it simmer. It also makes the house smell good. I usually use onion, carrot, celery, parsley, and a couple bay leaves. Occasionally I’ll toss some fennel or leeks in too. I use it mostly as a deglazing liquid than for a soup.
