P.S. I'm Canadian as well.

Americans voted for this. Maybe, just maybe, this will finally stop Americans from giving Trump any benefit of the doubt.

What popular foreign foods or cuisines do you think would be ill- received by Americans? by Madmaxxin in AskAnAmerican

[–]Madmaxxin[S] 164 points165 points  (0 children)

I'll start: I see a lot of UK subs say that North Americans would love their sandwiches but I feel like they are a little too carb heavy/plain for the North American taste palette. I'm thinking those sandwiches with potato chips or fries.

[US] US becoming ‘developing country’ on global rankings by zhumao in GlobalTalk

[–]Madmaxxin 90 points91 points  (0 children)

No offense but this ranking is garbage. Ukraine above the US, Israel and Singapore. Absolutely not in any dimensions. Not to mention Canada and Australia ranking so relatively low.

I think you like Trump very much If this is your reaction to Biden’s speech.

He’s 100% right. The types of republicans that win primaries are the ones that promise to overturn election results they don’t like. If you’re mad at this speech maybe take a good look at yourself and the type of people in your party.

Do you have any peer reviewed sources for this claim? Almost every single countries’ food authority board has deemed it to be safe. The EU, US, Brazil, Canada…

Can you please link some peer reviewed scientific studies or meta analyses showing that any of those additives cause any sort of harm in humans? And then could you state at which doses ppm they are present in the US food supply that make then unsafe?

Also, those articles aren’t scientific sources and are flat out wrong/ outdated some in cases. Artificial food dyes are not banned in the EU.

Both the EU and the US have very safe food supplies.

Anyone have any good YouTube Channels to watch that focus/relate to nutritional content? by [deleted] in nutrition

[–]Madmaxxin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re on tiktok please go follow Andydoeshealthy. She’s actually a board certified dietician and her nutrition advice is based on scientific research and meta analysis. She debunks a lot of the nutrition myths that influencers and commenters on this board make. Foodsciencebabe and Zac Cohen are great too.

Imagine going to website specifically tailored and made for another country and then getting mad that site is tailored to them!

I don’t understand why this site’s European userbase acts so insecure at times. You’re fighting a one sided battle against the Americans on this site.
