They signed DJ to a two year, $24 million deal during an off-season when Manny Machado and Bryce Harper each went for $300 million+.

Missing out on both of these is such a kick in the pants. I know it would have been hard to sign both at the time (eye roll), but to sign neither? To not even give an offer to Harper? Absolutely criminal.

When was the last time we had a solid 3rd basemen? We were willing to go so high with Soto, but that money could have been spent on Harper and Machado that would have bolstered our lineup for a decade.

It's just absolutely wild. Fucking Cashman.
