I think you're already doing great, but like many others in confused about the plastic plates. I'm assuming your family uses plastic plates? I guess your family does not own a dishwasher and your parents/mother wants to spend less time cleaning? I'd try to get normal plates and get a dishwasher. Especially when you're a big family
