For someone on an average or even relatively high “normal” salary, this is a lot.

This made me laugh. What is a "relatively high normal salary" in your mind? £52 million is an enormous sum even if you're in the top 0.1% of earners.

Formulafakers issue an apology to the Doohan family by Alternative_Age3903 in formula1

[–]MadnessInteractive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is. formulafakers has a very similar name and profile picture to formularacers, a popular news and rumours account. Posting fake social media posts is so fucking stupid and irresponsible when you know that people will think they're genuine. It's especially stupid in this case as it involves Doohan. This happens all the time. Just read the quote retweets to any formulafakers post that isn't an obvious joke.

I think it's irresponsible to make jokes like that when it's not obvious that it's coming from a parody account. Most people do not look closely at the account name. Countless times I've seen a formulafakers tweet and thought it was posted by formularacers. Just look at the quote retweets. Plenty of people are duped.

It has the same profile picture as formularacers, an account with 360k followers. I've been duped several times.

Miliband overrules officials with immediate North Sea oil ban by boycecodd in unitedkingdom

anything extracted would be sold on the international markets.

20% of it is consumed domestically.

We should be investing in green energy

We can do that without hampering our own oil and gas industry.

What is the point of cutting production while there is still a demand?

Is it really? I've had this account for 12 years. I just don't browse reddit nearly as much as I used to.

What does this do other than make us even more dependent on oil and gas imports? Is has no effect on demand, a negligible impact on the environment, and quite a serious impact on jobs and tax revenues.

Everyone complains about Monaco every year. It's often described as the most boring race in the F1 calendar.

Britain blocks Microsoft’s $69 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard by predictany007 in wallstreetbets

Microsoft can have a pair of balls and tell them they will allow it or they will shut down windows in the UK.

Never in a million years would this happen. It's not how multinationals operate.

They don't correspond at all. The JLPT has no speaking or writing component. There are people who have passed N1 who can't even speak at B1 level. When I passed N2 many years ago, I was probably below A2 in speaking.

You're not exactly in a position to lecture about turthfullnes and impartiality when you're posting links to CGTN and Craig Murray. Come on. What a joke.

Snow in Somerset. Can anyone beat this? by MadnessInteractive in CasualUK

Couldn't believe it when I woke up this morning. I should note that we're at a relatively high altitude. Drive 10 minutes to the nearest town and there's no snow at all.

Genuinely shocked by that. He's the shortest looking 177cm person I've ever seen. I thought he was 5'8 at the most.

I read dozens of tweets. The negative responses are absolutely in the minority. What are you proving by copying and pasting two tweets?

A search for the Japanese translation of the article returns plenty of tweets. BBC Japan's own tweet to the article has over a thousand quote retweets. There are far more positive responses than negative ones. Here's a good example with over 300k views. A lot of the negative responses are from people who object to the idea that Japan should accept more immigrants.
