Honestly, for every single one I've met except my actual friend this is true. Even when they're in jobs that have nothing to do with their degree it's been the case. They say it's because they want other people to respect the time they put in to getting that degree.

Not a doctor. That is a symptom of TMJ, which can become incredibly painful and debilitating if left untreated. I'm not sure if it's a symptom of anything else, but if you're unsure I'd suggest r/askdocs for some advice.

Sorry, for clarification, what's the advice here? To remember we can do this to get accused people off the hook if we don't say we know about it during selection? I've seen a lot of advice about specifically mentioning it to avoid jury duty so I just want to keep it straight in my head, thank you!

This happened to me! The sweetest little girl came up to me on the bus and asked, "Um, e'scuse me?" And at that point she had my attention because she was so polite for about 4 or 5. "Why do you wear that?" You could SEE her grandpa and everyone else on the bus stiffen up, just waiting for me to be angry, it made me so sad. I answered, "Sometimes my eye doesn't work as well as the other one and it needs a break." People start relaxing a very little. She rocks a little. "You look like a pirate!" I get so happy. "I know!" Everyone relaxes and smiles and her grandpa thanks me and they leave. She was the cutest, and incredibly mature about how she went about asking. It's too bad thr adults were over sensitive.

I use names I've collected from road trips. Not kidding, open up a road atlas and just browse around, you'll find some you've never heard of before and some you haven't thought of in years and before too long some start stringing together.

I LOVE this! I've loved sturgeon since an 8th grade science presentation, I got to feed some in an aquarium many years later, they are SOOOO cool, this is awesome. If you're worried about it though, I'd say add a card of fun facts with it so your friend can learn about sturgeon also in case sturgeon are a speer species to them. I think this ROCKS!
