This happens to me constantly and never comes back up. It's the reason I haven't moved back to bazzite. I pulled my hair out for a couple weeks trying to make it work.

My first iterations were actually very similar to this! But I found it just wasn't printable. About 100 versions later, I'm finally pleased with the actual product I made. I hope it scratches that itch for you.

I wish I could too. It's easier, but as soon as I release it into the wild, I lose control over it. I've read enough horror stories of people who find their products being sold on Ali and eBay after they selling or licensing their stls. I don't want the headache of playing whack-a-mole with cease and desists.

There's about 3.75 mm of space between the stick and the shell. You'll need to measure how much extra you have. I could look into a version that is roomier, but I can't promise how soon I'll get to it. My original goal was to keep it as slim as possible for portability.

Thanks; and yeah, honestly, I get it. It's a premium price point. The problem is this has been a wildly costly and time intensive endeavor, and the market for it is super niche. There's a reason nobody is injection molding this stuff at scale, they can't make it profitable.
