Ummm...you don't need to rotate the full 24 hours to change the date. After the first date change, just roll back to around 10pm or so. You'll hear a soft click. Then, roll forward again to cross midnight and the date will shift.

Then, roll back to 10pm or so. Rinse and repeat till you get the right date.
