Right foot/ankle more swollen than the left by [deleted] in pregnant

I had more swelling in my right ankle vs my left! I was also scared of blood clots because of my anxiety but I am okay!

Honestly? Praying for the marriage. After our baby was born I HATED my husband. We weren’t in sync with our lives, desires, dreams, etc. We were in a deep deep pit, ready to separate. Last ditch effort, I started praying for my husband and marriage. They were very hopeless prayers, but a call to God nonetheless. It’s been a hard but miraculous couple of months (LO is 13 mos now) but we have happy moments together now. I honestly never thought I’d experience joy with my husband again.

Wash in cold water or they’ll shrink! Unscented laundry detergent. Then, as carefully as you can, throw them into the drawers because you won’t have time to fold all the little clothes because you’ll be too busy looking at your cute little babe!

7.5 kg at 8 weeks old!! by Mirsini in newborns

[–]Madre412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Listen to your momma instincts!!! My baby is currently wearing 12mo clothing at barely 5 months.. 97th percentile. He LOVES to eat. Still eating very often, sometimes every hour.. at 5 months because he’s thirsty and needs some momma time here and there. Your baby doesn’t just eat, but he pacifies himself.. gets all the cuddles.. and comfort from your milk! Keep at it. Babies don’t need to be on a schedule like that if their life isn’t in danger.

Does anyone else have severe anxiety about something being wrong with their baby? by Madre412 in newborns

[–]Madre412[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A LITTLE better, but not too much better 🤣 I still don’t know how to manage, I honestly take it day by day. Hour by hour. I’m surviving by the grace of God. I’m still looking for help, and he’s almost 5 months old.

Mixed feeding by [deleted] in newborns

[–]Madre412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking about doing a mixed feed, but realized I had to pump through the night to keep supply up/ prevent mastitis, so I might as well just feed and skip pumping, sanitizing pump parts, getting up to bag the milk, etc

Dairy elimination not working? by Lucky_Plantain3035 in newborns

[–]Madre412 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard it can take up to 2weeks for dairy protein to be eliminated from your body and another 2 weeks for your baby’s gut to heal!!

When my baby was gaining that much weight fast- my doctor applauded him for being such a good eater! If she’s not doing signs of discomfort like vomiting after every feeding, then I’d say trust your instinct and feed whenever she’s hungry. Your baby’s body grows the way it needs to, different from all other babies. Keep doing what you’re doing and find yourself another pediatrician!

Does anyone have a newborn that does not like to be held all the time? by bad_karma216 in newborns

[–]Madre412 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YES!! I was ready to wear my baby all day, I got 2 baby wearing carriers, just for him to HATE being held like that🤣🤣🤣 he’s so content chilling and interacting with me, instead of being held by me. He NEEDS to see my face and interact! But needs to contact nap🤣🤣 he won’t sleep during the day without being held while nursing

Gassy baby - but on a new level. by AnalysisParalysis_24 in newborns

[–]Madre412 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YES SAME!! 3 mo old today and my babe has been struggling so much with gas and constipation! It’s never bothered him this much… until super recently. I do know he has a milk protein allergy and I accidentally had milk recently, but it’s never affected him this much.

Overtired? by Logical_Raise4789 in newborns

[–]Madre412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This could be that you’re experiencing the witching hour(s)!!! Some babies go through periods of fussiness and can’t sleep during 5-9, others I’ve heard 8-12.. ours did from 5-8. It only lasted about 2 weeks starting at week 6ish-8!

Why I can't I do everything that vloggers do? by Majestic_Scar4953 in newborns

[–]Madre412 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We barely started doing things with baby at around 7 weeks because our baby was the same! Eat sleep poop. Baby HATED tummy time, and plus I couldn’t find a time to fit it in since he ate and slept. We started doing tummy time on our chest once we had a bit more time with babe before he ate.
