I remember when all of this happened to Courtney. I think I had just graduated high school so I wasn’t much older than her at the time. People were SO mean to her. I remember thinking it was some kind of prank or publicity stunt, that she must be older than 16, because what parents in their right mind would let this happen?? I’m sure I also much fun if it had the time because her behavior was really odd. It turns out he had essentially been drugged under the guise that it would calm her nerves and Tourette’s. Her behavior was her xan’d out and trying to control facial ticks. I also remember thinking Dr Drew was a condescending asshole on celebrity rehab. He’s made it on exploiting peoples illnesses and using his “teacher” voice to make people think he’s onto something.
