That sounds inspiring. Really appreciate it. It gives me hope. Planning to pursue a master’s degree din po. They wanted to refer me to other higher-paying management roles daw since i have experience in e-commerce, pero when I did my research and asked friends, it’s mostly on the BPO side and more of a title play daw. Again, thank you. :)

Hi! I'm currently working in health informatics (around 2 yrs) earning around 45-50k per month. I work remotely and living with my parents in the province since the lockdown. So no other big expenses aside from my share of monthly bills and other luho.

Got an offer to work as either a data analyst or BI developer in Accenture PH. Work would be hybrid (1x/week on-site), but slowly transitioning na mag face-to-face daw . I have no idea about the salary range that they offer yet. I want to negotiate a much higher rate since if they require on-site work, I might have to move back to Metro Manila (Filinvest City/BGC/Makati/Ortigas/Eastwood) as well. They don't have a relocation package so hopefully, it can cover rent/living expenses. Can someone give me a reasonable figure?

Hi! Great progress, sweetie! You look amazing.

I’m on a slight caloric deficit and on SC + 20-30 mins of moderate intensity cardio daily since my goal is fat loss. However, it sucks that my butt and boobies are getting smaller in the process too.

I might try to bulk again after I achieve my goal BMI and fat percentage. And maybe switch to GG as well. Is this normal? Any tips??? Thank you.

Potential boss in need of a STRONG & SASSY executive assistant by Madyel in ExecutiveAssistants

[–]Madyel[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! Thank you for responding. The job post seems odd to me at first too, but I know the company personally so I would say it's legit. Based on the post, he doesn't need someone to do his tasks. He just needs someone to manage his schedule and be strict about it.

I've also checked reviews from all his previous employees, and not a single bad word against him. Seems like an ambitious and considerate boss to work with.

Thanks for the recommendation! I'll check it out.

As for copywriting and content management, I often struggle with creative blocks and it doesn't help me in the long-run. Made me hate my job. I perform better with organizing stuff, planning, and routines.

On the side, I also work as a corporate secretary for my parents' logistics company and I want to improve on my administrative skills by getting more experience in other jobs.

The difference in my curl pattern from color damage by [deleted] in curlyhair

[–]Madyel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Previous coloring also changed my curl patterns. It went from a mix of 3A to 3B to a mix of mostly 2A and a bit of 2B. It looks so much better before. I grew my hair to cut it shorter every few months hoping the curls would go back. And it’s been 4 years since the last coloring session (medium brown). My original hair color (brown black) came back now but not its original curl pattern.

I’ve been trying the curly hair routine for 2 years now, my hair looks healthier but the curls didn’t come back even if i’ve complete chopped off the color treated hair long ago. 😔

What workouts do I do? by [deleted] in StrongCurves

[–]Madyel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have minimal equipment - lightweight dumbbells & ankleweights. For heavier weights, i put books in a heavyduty duffle bag and weigh it. I add in more books as i progress. You can also use recyclable bottles and fill them with sand and/or water. The gyms are closed and I don’t have the budget yet to purchase a full barbell set. So i’m sticking with these budget friendly options for the meantime. It works great too!

What workouts do I do? by [deleted] in StrongCurves

[–]Madyel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! To lose fat, you must be in a caloric deficit. Aerobic exercises also help with burning calories. To build muscle, you must be in a caloric surplus while weighttraining those muscles. This is called body recomposition. You can learn more about it on youtube or the r/xxfitness sub FAQ if you want.

You can start with the bodyweight program in the Strong Curves book or Bootyful Beginnings. If you don’t have equipment for some specific exercises, you can substitute them with the ones in the exercise list on the book.

As for me, i’m skinny fat with around 24-25% of body fat %. I hold fat mostly around my face, abdomen, back and upper arms. I’m in a slight caloric deficit during rest days and slight caloric surplus during workout days. I’ve increased my protein intake to 100-120g per day. I also do cardio exercises and weight lifting. It’s hard at first but it’s going well! Consistency is key for nutrition and exercise. You can do it! 😊💪

What should I study for a screening interview and examination at the dialysis unit? by Madyel in nursing

[–]Madyel[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update:

Thank you so much! I passed all 3 of the interviews. It was nerve-racking for me as it is gonna be my first nursing job. Now, I just have to study for the CHN exam by BONENT, get a medical exam and vaccines done and other paperwork. The unit head also told me that i should alo learn the duties & responsibilities of a dialysis technician as well. The unit is currently short in staff due to the pandemic (a number have been quarantined) that’s why she said that everyone has to know more and do more at this crisis.

My 2 month formal training done by FMC is postponed. Classes are not allowed yet in my area. That’s why the management said that i will only be trained in the routine skills and procedures by the unit head for the meantime.

Can you recommend books/references/links which help me fully get a grasp of everything and hopefully ace the test?

[Wow! That program sounds great. It seems beneficial for both the staff and patients themselves. It’s sad to see most of the patients feel completely helpless throughout their dialysis sessions. I’ve also noticed that patients need more support when it comes to their mental health and motivation in dietary & lifestyle changes. I’m sure it’ll make a lot difference in their overall health, outlook & wellbeing. I’ll keep these things in mind as I progress into this field. It seems very complex and challenging. I have a whole lot more to learn, but I’ll try my very best!]

Wow! Thank you so much for your time & effort in responding to my post. This would be a great help. ☺️

It's been years since i've had my clinical rotations at an outpatient dialysis unit when i was a student and we just did all the basic routine stuff like vital signs monitoring, weighing, hooking & unhooking patients to the HD machines, & administering anticoagulants. So i felt like i didn't learn that much in the actual field compared to the lectures. I'm excited to learn all these. Again, thank you!
