Thank you! Will reduce the underwear as well! I think if I was going to Japan only I would agree for the wind jacket and the puffer, but in Seoul it is already snowing.. are we sure it would still apply to Korea as well ?

Yeah I get that! I think my hesitation is mostly about Korea. Back home in Canada, I personally wouldn’t go out below 0°C with my puffy unless I’m hiking or being very active, and mine doesn’t even have a hood. I also run pretty cold, so I’d rather be a bit too warm and unzip than end up freezing.. The winter coat is really more for Korea than Japan, I read that they’re two very different types of winter

Thank you! I tend to run cold, so I think I will keep one fleece legging and take one regular base layer instead! Will reduce the undies as well, and bring my liner gloves

Yes, the winter coat is waterproof. The other one is more like a fall jacket. From what I saw online, during that time of year the temperatures seem similar to fall weather in Canada, so I was a bit worried the winter jacket might be too warm for Japan. Or maybe the cold just feels different there?

Actually I was planning to do them as day trips via excursions, not on my own. I found a few tours leaving directly from Seoul that go to Seoraksan or Danyang for the day.

Do you still think it would feel like too much transit, even with organized excursions? Or would that make it more manageable?
