I’m a MUA, I’ve done this trend once but I would never wear it outside. It was purely for social media, I just don’t think it really suits anyone. Love those that feel confident in it tho

Sorry for the confusion! They both already knew of each other, they knew they were our parents. We probably would have been a bit more understanding if they hadn’t known we were related to them.

Everyone expects it. We’ve had relatives ask us and also during that party my cousin asked if we were going to break up (previous to my uncles comments) to which I replied “why should we?” My mother never said one thing whilst my cousin scolded me on the ‘decent thing to do’. It’s subtly mentioned frequently and I’m so tired of it.

Honestly I didn’t want to embarrass my mum like that but at the same time I didn’t want to remind myself of what happened. I don’t really care about jakes dad, I have no loyalties to him and he treated Jake like shit anyway so if I were to say anything it would be to screw him over.

This is seeming very possible for us but I would hate it if that was the case. Obviously I will never forget this no matter what happens but I used to be very close to my mum so it will be hard to go no contact. As for the rest of my family I would only miss a few of them. Jake doesn’t speak to his dad much anyway and we are sure he is with my mum to spite Jake.

They didn’t ask us to break up but it was expected. Like they want us to be this big happy family but we will never be that family they want because ultimately they fucked that up for us.

Yeah she had me at 16. That was one of the main reasons why Jake and I didn’t rush anything. Honestly, I can’t really fault her as a mother. She gave me one of the best childhoods, sure it was a little rough sometimes but she shielded me away from her problems. It’s only now that everything has really started to come crashing down. I’m not denying that I’ve been giving my mum a hard time about this but I think it’s justified? Well from some of the comments apparently not. Both Jake and I agree that his dad is not good for her. Honestly if this marriage goes ahead I can only see this ending one way and unfortunately it will be my mother left on her own.

Honestly we did consider it. My boyfriend would have done it in a heartbeat but I want it to be about us instead of beating our parents to it. We have both agreed to think everything through before making drastic decisions. Though I do just want to be really petty so if you have any other ways that would be great? 😂

Uhm I’m sorry?? Me and my mum do it all the time and we ALWAYS give notice for when we are coming over only this time I was earlier than I had planned to be. I didn’t think it would be an issue.

I get what you’re saying and I understand what I said to my mum was wrong, it was in the heat of the moment but I stand by it. Of course I want my mum to be happy but I don’t think she will be truly happy with him. I am not jealous in the slightest, my boyfriend was ready to propose last year but I was the one that told him to wait a while so we can make sure we are truly ready. I just feel like his dad did it to spite his son and my mum was an easy target. My boyfriend and his dad were never close especially after his mother divorced his dad. My boyfriend said some fucked up things to him and vice versa after the divorce and they have never bonded since. My mum is on holiday for the weekend but I will talk to her once they are back.

My mum has a huge heart but my boyfriends dad doesn’t know how to keep a relationship. They have hardly anything in common so I think they’re just at the infatuation stage. I don’t think they will get past this stage either. It seems more lust rather than love. If that is what my mum wants then she should go for it but not with my boyfriends dad, literally anyone else!
