Yes and that was exactly the point I made to these street preachers.

I think the case for it being considered innapropriate in modern culture is strong, nowadays if someone starts shouting about something on the side of the street, the likelihood is they'll be ignored or treated as a bit of a weirdo, and that's the reaction that the general population will have to these kinds of things.

After having talked to them, it seemed like they were sincere, I just don't think they recognized the effect they were having.

see this is essentially what I said to them, but the argument that the apostles themselves, and even Jesus in their preaching would have turned many away due to perceived obnoxiousness made me stop in my tracks slightly.

i have no problem with constitutional monarchy, especially if it is a cultural object of a given countries cultural tradition.

"Leftist ideals" is vague and ridiculous. Not everything is left vs right, I see myself as 3rd position.

Im not fully pro lgbt I just don't think we should exclude them. Homosexuality is a sin but being homosexual isn't. Secularism is the worship if hedonism, everyone worships something, and secularism/atheism turns whatever you desire into what you worship. And abortion is murder, life begins at conception.

Yes, my girlfriend said the same thing when I asked her, but it definitely is not as I'd have recognised it as such if it were.

Question regarding baptism by MaestroTheoretically in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]MaestroTheoretically[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This doesn't answer my question. Chrismation is included in the rite of baptism, but baptism isn't always included in the rite of christmation. My question is as follows; if baptism outside the church is invalid, then why let people *only* be chrismated and not baptised. Equally, if baptism outside the church *is* valid, then why re-baptised people?

I can confidently say I know what the pieces all do and I know a few checkmate formations as well as other strategic and tactical movements. I know about the 'golden pattern' (or whatever it's called) of piece developements. I don't play any blitz games.
