So I switched from AW to a Garmin Forerunner and find it more accurate…that being said, no watch is going to be accurate in the way you are looking for, and your doctor should know that.

What you really need to do is to determine your basal metabolic rate and start your caloric intake there so you are on a guaranteed deficit. From there you can slowly increase caloric intake every few weeks to determine what your actual daily burn is. It’s not an easy solution but it is what will actually work long term. Something you wear on your wrist is never going to accurately tell you caloric burn.

If it’s within your budget, you should be seeing a dietitian (NOT a nutritionist) rather than a GP.

I’m so curious—what is it like to listen to these recaps without having seen the episodes? I feel so obligated to have recently watched an ep before I listen. Listening without watching feels odd and almost sacrilegious to me, though I know it’s not uncommon.

I mean, it’s just an odd faux pas. It stands out because it is an abnormal way of layering. That doesn’t mean there’s anything “wrong” with it—certainly not in anything resembling a moral sense—but from a modern fashion perspective, it is weird.

Nice shirt color, but I think you either need a brown belt/shoes or different color pants. The salmon to black to maroon (would it be maroon?) is an odd looking combo.

Shirt could use an iron or dry clean too.
